I phoned today to see if you had any quilt backings other than what was shown on your site. Your employee did a search online just as I had done and told me they only have MUSLIM in 120" . I was speechless. My hope was that she might know of other backings not yet on the site, but the fact that someone working with Quilters can not detect the difference between MusliN and MusliM was quite a shock.

HaHa, if you are speechless because someone pronounced an "N" as an "M", please for your peace of mind, don't ever call a customer service center in the deep south, or New York, or Boston, they'll drive you nuts!

Most wide backings are 108". The only ones I have seen that come in 120" have been classified as muslin and were white, cream or the natural color. It is a better quality muslin than what most people think of when they hear that term.

Since probably more than 90% of their sales are online orders, I would think they keep the website VERY up to date. Heck, I've looked at an item, got interrupted, went back onto the site an hour later only to find out it was now sold out.

After doing a google search, the only 120" wide backing fabric I could find was all Muslin. Anything else was drapery or furniture fabric.

Thousands of Bolts has some 112", 115", and 118" wide fabrics

Funny story. I was watching one of these TV-judge shows, and a woman wanted her deposit back from a tailor. She said she'd called him a month before the event and he hadn't finished the Egyptian so she bought a dress elsewhere.

The judge asked, "What do you mean, 'Egyptian'?"

"You know," she said, "the cloth pattern. The Egyptian."

The tailor said, "You mean the muslin?"

"Yeah, yeah," she said, "the Muslim!"

The whole courtroom burst out laughing.

Epilogue: Since her receipt said "Deposit non-rufundable," she lost her case.
