UPDATE: M*s response to mystery yardage

This morning I got the second email from M* customer service. After I sent my response to the first email she went to her manager and they agreed to let me return three of the 2 yd poinsetta fabrics for a refund (I am assuming a store credit) I took them to the postoffice and $11.80 later it will be in MO. on Monday. I will get $24 for credit. I know...crazy huh? but I justified this by knowing that I have 8 yds left from my order that were $ 4 a yd and this only adds $1.5 or so to the cost of that yardage with the postage so I'm okay.

I ordered the mystery yardage one time. It was so-so, nothing I will probably ever use. I am glad you and MSQ came to a solution that was alright for the both of you. It's like a hundred dollars, isn't it?

No, that $99 for 10 yds of mystery yardage was a different deal later. The one I ordered was $8 for 2 yds and I ordered 7 of them plus a ruler to get free shipping. My issue was 5 of the same one. The other 2 will be usable...I just couldn't see 10 yds of one ugly Christmas print.

Sounds like a win win....I hope the customer service folks explained the issue to those who package these "specials"......

said they are instructed to just reach in the bin and pull them out. Sounds like these were special purchase fabrics that were folded and packaged from whereever they came from. ...However, being a scrappy quilter and doing a reach in the bag and whatever piece I pull out is next...if there are two in a row, I throw them back!! Just saying.

Terry, I'm glad that M* finally agreed to take the yardage back and give you credit for it. Bummer that YOU had to pay the postage, but at least you wont have 8 yds of fabric that you don't want or like.
