    Burst Block Template

    Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone else is disappointed with this template. I tried several times to practice with it and consistently, the sides did not match. I've given up. I am having precise luck with old fashioned paper piecing this design. The youtube presentation was very convincing and I fell for it.

Sorry it has given you so much trouble. I haven't made this. Maybe someone has and will come along and offer suggestions.

I made it and my seams did not line up, but that's when I discovered that my presser foot was not really 1/4". However, i do think it depends on how you line it up on the background fabric piece as to whether they will match up or not. I have seen one or two on the Show and Tell page. I am going to make another one with my new, accurate 1/4" presser foot.

It's a tricky template. I own one, but haven't used it yet. I highly recommend you watch the Man Sewing video for the Burst Block. Rob Appel gives a lot of tips on working with the template. It might help.
