I'm new at quilting, and I've gotten a lot of my supplies built up. What I'm wondering about is the rotary cutters. I have a 45mm because that seems to be the popular one, but can anyone explain the difference between the 18mm, 28mm, 45mm, and 60mm? Are there certain times or materials where you should use one of the others? Also, some are listed as "heavy duty". What is the difference? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I have that one and love it, too. Just last week bought a second one and also the Olfa 28mm. I understand it is easier to use when cutting around very small templates like the mini & 5 inch tumbler or the 5 inch half hexi. I haven't used it yet so the jury is still out on it.

My husband got me that one for a Christmas gift this past Christmas and I love it. I only use this one now.

I have that one and I agree it is good but... If you have any hand issues, like arthritis, I think the Martelli is worth the extra money. I love mine.

My choice also, I have two, in case I can't find the one I just misplaced!

    Great cutter.
Had mine for years! Used to use it for other crafts before I found quilting.
