    Custom Layer Cakes?

Does anyone know if you can order customer layer cakes (or jelly rolls, etc.) of sold-by-the-yard fabrics. I love the pre-cut idea but would like to choose my fabrics. I don't need one square of 40+/- fabrics - what I need is several squares of 4 or 5 fabrics for a particular project.

I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!

Ooooh - you could start something here. What a great idea if it's not done already.

There are people who have the accuquilt cutter who will do 'contract cuts' for want of a better term but I'm not sure how you would find them, maybe check on etsy or similar sites.

If you bought 1/2 yard of each of the fabrics you wanted, you could cut your own layer cakes and or 21/2 strips.

I would just buy my own fabric and cut it. Then you'll most likely have scraps!
