New Half Hexagon Ruler & Jelly Roll

I just got the new Half Hexagon ruler to use with the jelly rolls or the charm pack. Has anyone made a quilt with it yet? I was wondering what size quilt you could get out of one jelly roll?

Pat I haven't done one of these but I have used a lot of jellyrolls so here is my estimate:

A jellyroll is 2.5m of fabric so nearly 3 yards, this normally gets you a very generous lap quilt, twin bed or double topper. The hexagon ruler has very little waste but the hexagons have a lot of seam allowances so it may be slightly smaller than an average pieced quilt. It should still be a good size and with some borders should get you the generous lap or twin size.

Have fun, I'd love one of those half hexagon rulers but I don't think they are available in Australia yet.
