Re: EZ Geese and Stars - Please help

I bought one of these at a trunk show and have never figured out how to use it even with the instructions.
The store really didn't know how to use it, but pushed it since it was part of the trunk show.
It put it back in its little plastic bag and it is in the bottom of my sewing box I think. I learned several new techniques for making flying geese as I am making the Amish Quilt with A Twist II.
I have the instruction card, if you would like me to email it to you.

Thank you, Katie. I looked for a tutorial and couldn't find one. This is extremely helpful.

Yep! I love Kimberly's ruler. She has a PDF on her website with instructions on how to use the ruler:

You are welcome. Seems like most patterns call for cutting a strip a certain width x width of fabric, so I kind of figured it was the same. Good luck. Hope it all turns out good and we want to see a picture!

Oh, sewhot, I wish that were the ruler, but it's not. I bought the Easy Star and Geese ruler by Kimberly Einmo. The SKU is NOT294, although I don't find it on your site today.

The Eleanor Burns ruler uses a very different methodology, and there's no help available even on Kimberly's site. I'm really lost on how to use this.

Roxanne, I'll go see if they mean WOF and then report back! Good idea.

I don't have this ruler but I would think the length would be whatever the width of your fabric is, i.e. 4 inches wide by 42 inches long. As long as it is long enough of a strip to cut the pieces you need, it wouldn't matter what the length is.

    Hi GuitarGramma,
The ruler you are talking about is one from Eleanor Burns. Mom did do a video you can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKfM3pJYSmcI
I hope this helps! Have a great day!

EZ Geese and Stars - Please help

I just opened my new EZ Geese and Stars ruler from M*QC, and I'm confused. The packaging is quite different, just shrink wrap with a very small instruction sheet. And, though the original packaging promised a free pattern, there is none.

So, this little instruction sheet details how *wide* to cut your strips then tells you how to use the ruler. Here's the thing: I need to know both width AND length.

Does anybody have the original packaging? Does anyone know how to use the ruler? Does Jenny have a tutorial? I'm so lost.
Working...
