Is it electric or battery operated? Are there foot controls? I saw one very similar in the thrift store for $2.98 but there were no batteries in it so I couldn't even see what type junque it was . . .

yes it does have a foot pedal and electric cord. i looked on ebay and found a couple used ones - will be asking $45

shhhh....it is really cute - maybe i will have to figure out a space for it in my sewing room or to have on hand for retreats (if i ever get to go on one!! lol)

it's a cutie.... but i think it may only do what's called a "chain stitch".... good for very basic,, but might be more bells and whistles than actual worker...

Looks much cuter than my Euro-Pro machine. I have the Dressmaker II, and my mom bought it about 10 years ago, new, for $30. This one is a little more elaborate, but I would guess it just does basic straight stitches like mine. You could start higher than you think it's worth, you'll always have someone willing to haggle with you for a better price

it does straight, zigzig and wavy and a couple other basic stitches - has a button holer and 4 other feets all the tools and runs better and quieter than my featherweight hheheheh been playing

I love the look of this machine...I wished I lived closer...
I have a Euro-Pro---not this fancy---that I purchased years ago from HSN on TV (sold for $129)...it is my workhorse for potholders, coasters, etc....mine just does straight stitch and zigzag...I purchased a walking foot from Sears online and use it all the time...I clean it often...it has never needed a repair...
