Mariner's Compass Templates

Hello all:

Is it possible to tell me if I can use the MSQC templates for a Mariner's Compass? I'm unsure of the sizes (I've ordered the big, huge bundle of templates; finger's crossed!) that are needed for this block. Or do I need two dedicated templates to do the block? Thanks for your help!

I do not think there is a template for that particular block. The mariners compass is a paper-pieced pattern.

Hmmm . . . I didn't realize that it was a paper-pieced pattern. I've seen plastic templates for a Mariner's Compass, but to tell the truth, I'm unsure how to use it. Is the template used to cut out paper? Not sure.

You use the template to cut out fabric shapes.
