Hi girls, I'm from Chile and I have had some problems in find the cotton you use for batting, ¿what else can I use as batting?, any other fabric that will work well?

Hi Susy
I have used flannel in place of batting from time to time. It isn't as heavy but it sews nicely and if you hand quilt, it doesn't eat your fingers up pushing and pulling. (I am still not a good thimble user)Sewing mends the soul.

Susy, some of the ladies in the guild here use micro fleece or minky. I use (for table runners and wall hangings only) the stuff that is sold here to go under your table cloth on the dinding table. I am not sure of the name but I buy it the fabric stores here on a big roll. It is just a little thicker than cotton batting and machine quilts just fine.
