      If you look at my user notes I have listings for the fall and winter issues. Also if you look under the heading how to's and tutorials the first link shows the tutorials from Karen's user notes.

        You can make the Churn Dash block by using Jenny's Disappearing Pinwheel #2 tutorial. However, I do not use the layer cakes. I cut my own fabric & start with 12.5" squares. The block size will be 15.5" when all 9 pcs. are sewn back together. Just be sure to square as you go. The 4 sections that make the pinwheel part of it will be 8.5". After cutting into thirds, each of the 9 pcs. will be 5.5" square. The more of these blocks I make, the easier it gets. Just work carefully, b/c all the pcs. are on the bias. JCY

            Guess it answered my question...lol!! I don't think I like all the bias edges. I even used heavy spray starch to try and stabilize them but they still do their own thing. Good idea, just not very practical for me.
