    I'm with StitchingTime. I put a narrow serge on mine, but I have also had good luck with a narrow zigzag too. That way I know which fabrics have been pre-washed. The stitching is all in the 1/4" seam allowance, so even if I have to go edge to edge to get the piece to fit, I don't have to worry about the extra stitches showing if I don't want to pull them all out. The serge stitches are easier to pull than the zigzags though.

    shoot i just cut the threads after I wash the fabric.

    I like to either serge the raw edges or sew with a tight stitch across the raw edges before I wash it.

    Hi Girls:

    I have tried snipping the corners of my fabric before washing it, but I still get a ravelled mess.......

    Any thoughts or suggestions? It would be very much appreciated
