I recently have clicked on users' names to send a PM. The whole page layout is different, & there is no "private message" option any more. What happened??? How are we supposed to PM members now? Would someone clue me in, please?

Joy, I tried clicking on your name and your user profile popped up. To the right of your avatar picture is a button labeled "Private Message". If you click on that button, it takes you to the message center. I use a laptop; I think that you do, too. It might be different for those using a tablet or phone. -
Yep you are right. I use a Kindle which is kind of like a tablet. I click on user avatar and private message box pops up.Comment

There is a work around for PM. At the top of the screen "Notifications-Messages-Screen Name" Click on messages.

Click messages and you will see a drop down of previous messages, Send New Message, or Go to Message Center.

You have select the user name that you want. Make sure it is the correct person though as there are similar forum names.
PS: I've realized this is the long way around sending PM and yes it is easier to click on the member's name in a post.

Sorry, my profile page, or that of the others I pull up, do not look like any of those you're posted. I see no button by the avatar pic. Treadler, the pic you posted is how the profile page used to look, but not now. I have no idea what's going on.Comment

Am on brave browser so popped across to ms edge, its the same view for me in picture, can see private message in same place.
while in edge clicked on the 3 dots down at bottom is help and feed back with an > hold and slide onto next menu about ms edge click on this. the About page comes up and will say if edge is in date version 112.0.1722.58 is up to date.
could try
viewing in in private incognito screen mode that is accessed via the 3 dots normally top of screen
clear cookies if in in private mode this should happen each time close tab
close computer down and reboot / restart. which would mean signing back in with remember me ticked.
you seem to be having invalid message come up a lot, so perhaps your remember me tick has timed out.
to see can reload M* in another tab and if need to sign in the remember me has not worked.
