    10x10 square

Natalie, No one has a 10 x 10 square to cut fabric with. Maybe you should make one. I sure could use one. I bet it would be a big seller! I know a few that would want them.
Think about it please ( this is said with a whine) LOL Hugs, Jan Luna

10 inch square sounds great, I would also like to have a smaller ruler for all of those 1 1/2 squares - I just spent a couple of hours making those and my neck is really hurting (making a doll quilt for a little neighbor).

Hey Jan here in my neighborhood there is a glass place that will make you templates to you specifications out of plexy glass for pennys. I haven't tried this yet but my cousin who quilts too told me about it last week. They are polished edges and all. Maybe if you have a glass place around you, you can call and see if they would provide that service for you. So much cheaper than buying quilters templates. no measuring lines or anything but they are clear and very accurate according to my cuz. Hope this helps.

Aww if Natalie made one I'd buy it from her anyway. It would be marked and have that groovy green edge to it so you could really see it. Besides, I like supporting MSQC for all they do for us. Hugs, Jan

Oh wow - you are lucky you have a place to cut those for you. We have a glass place here in town and we asked for a piece of plexiglass about 2 feet wide by 7 ft. tall to put on the wall and put photos behind it. You'd have thunk we asked for the moon. He did it but said he was out money cause he had to buy a big sheet of it and then cut it down.
There is a larger glass place down by my dad's and I bet they would do smaller squares. But, wow - if Natalie could make and sell them, they would be so cool with the markings and all on them.
It was a good idea to get a template cheaper though, I always like to hear alternatives and ways to save a little money for more fabric.

            Hugs,

              Re: 10x10 square

I asked santa for a 10x10" square. last year. Soooo I went hunting: Lowes had plexi panes in several different sizes, & even offered to cut one for me...for a small fee...& no smooth edges. They also had
10x10 floor tiles for about 50 cents each I took one home & used it...but it was SUPER easy to cut into the
              edges...oops! I also found 10x10 mirror tiles..they worked...sort of. I've tried mat board too & a piece of
masonite. I can't see through any of these things, & there's no markings on them. I finally made one from
plexiglass and smoothed up the edges. I don't know why no one makes them. It's easier just to buy layer
cakes from MSQC if you can find the right color/pattern.
If at first you DO succeed, try not to look so surprised.
