Good Morning ~ Probably someone else is typing now as I am. I see Monique has been on here but didn't start a daily thread.

What a gorgeous day yest.! Our thermometer got up to 80 deg.! I had the front door & windows open much of the afternoon. My first daffodil is opening. The hyacinths are so fragrant. I've been watching the new couple across the street work in an area of their yard (which was basically a dirt pile) dig & prep the soil. I walked over & offered some of my flowers that soon will be dug up, but they're planning a garden area of vegetables. So no takers yet for my flowers. I hate to see them pitched. I'm still waiting for the estimate of that work.

I'll be busy all morning in the kitchen. Time to make chicken soup again. I prepped the veg. last eve.

This afternoon from 2-4 is our church's annual ladies' tea. I'm planning to go. It's usually a packed house.

Good Morning Joy and Everyone...We are almost ready to leave for the apartments. We have a full day of work there.

The weather here was nice yesterday but they are calling for some bad storms beginning tonight with large hail and high winds. More snow is expected later next week . Quite often the distant predictions don't materialize.

Wishing everyone a great day. It's so good to see Carol (Sewbizzy) back with us.

Hugs...

Good morning,

Oh Joy, I am so envious of your flowering bulbs and warm weather. It gives me hope, as I stare out into the yard with still 2' of snow, and fresh cover from last night. Soon.

I have been so... disheartened, sad about the plague that hit my laptop last week. I picked up my new one yesterday, and the old one which had to be completely reformatted. Even all the files on my backup external hard drive was encrypted. This was the work of a ransom malware. So I have lost all my documents, photos, family & girlfriend reunions, old business files, artwork. All gone. I may be able to recover some pictures from the camera, but I will have to ask family to provide others which I had stored. Luckily in the past few years, I have used the iPad for photos, so not all is lost. I think this is making me question my social interaction in a technological world.

It will spend today working on the flip side of the astronaut quilt, which will be hockey themed. Yesterday I picked up some Northcott All Stars fabric to fill in with remaining blocks, and also signed up for a quilt class at the end of May, using the quick curve rulers. I have had both, with many of Sew Wonderful books and patterns. I like thie teacher, as she provide great tips to make it easier.

Enjoy your day. Be safe, stay warm. Thoughts with all who are facing weather challenges.

Good morning. We should see the sun today with temps getting to 67. I did a lot of running around yesterday. Today I am getting my nails done. I want to take a donation of clothes to Goodwill. Tonight we are going into the city for a comedy show. We go to the early show.
Suzanne— sorry to hear about your computer issues. Sounds like a nightmare. Do you have the “cloud”. I hope all my items are safe up in mine.

Have good day.

Good morning!

Going today to pick up the quilts today and get a haircut. I have a lot more mobility with the shorter cast. I'm not allowed to pick up anything bigger than a cellphone. So, I'm still fiddling around as a lefty, awkwardly!

Morgan comes home from her class today. Jim will be glad, but she works 4 days next week, so he'll still have the kids alone at night. I'm hoping this class will open some day time doors for her.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. This has been a busy week for me at work. Monday night I finally finished the queen quilt. This was for the client who wanted the matching queen and baby quilts. Delivered them yesterday and she is a happy client. Now wants one for her GD, but told her she needed to get in line. I need to work on some of my items first, plus have already made a few other commitments. Yesterday I signed up for a workshop with Bonnie Hunter in July in KY. I must be crazy to drive 15 hours for a one day workshop. Oh well, I guess I need to find something else to do in the area, or on the way.
Weather is muggy here today. Did manage to do our Saturday walk with a few friends, and mow the back yard. The storms are supposed to roll in tonight. It's just a light rain off and on now. So, I think i'll tackle laundry and quilting a few charity tops.
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend.

Joy, have you mentioned the flowers to your church and guild members? There may be people that would love to have them. I wish I was closer, I would dig a few myself.

Claire ~ No, I haven't mention my flowers at guild. I did mention it to one gal at church. She seemed sort of interested. The new couple across the street have been clearing a space; I chatted with her yest., but they're putting in vegetables.

Suzanne ~ You may remember it was last year (this mo., actually) that I had computer problems. I took my laptop to Computer Specialists. They discovered & removed a Trojan. Fortunately, everything on my hard drive was intact. They installed several anti-virus programs, which I routinely run. They are: Malwarebytes, an Antivirus Scan, Defraggler, and a disk check. I already had CCleaner on my computer, which removes cookies. (I run it daily, or more often depending on use. It takes <1 min.)) I already was using Microsoft Security Essentials weekly. I run all these weekly, except for the Defraggler, which is to be run monthly. They are free downloads. The Antivirus scan has detected items more than once & I've had them removed. I know one of these days I'll have to buy a new laptop with Windows 10. I'm not sure how much longer W7 will be supported.

Joy- I do remember all the issues with your computer. I have to take responsibility for what happened to it. The anti-virus was no longer activated, but I didn't feel vulnerable as I only use it to type Word documents to print, or to connect to the label maker. I rarely went on the Internet with it as for this, I use the iPad. The last thing I checked on Internet was to check FedEx MailView. Since my computer has been running slower and difficult to connect in past few years, I shut it down. I knew it was time to upgrade.

The new laptop is very cool. The top flips over and you can use like an iPad. It has the latest malware, antivirus etc. DH also has a plan that covers the work on all our computers, so if I have any issue from now on, I will get it checked out right away. It was also an early birthday gift from DH. Sweet.
