Good morning friends. I had a relatively quiet day yesterday. I started cutting 5" half hexies for a baby quilt I want to make. Well, about half way through I was rethinking this endeavour. Too many, geezlouise. So what will I do with the ones I have already cut? I guess I will continue the task. It is a pink and grey quilt for my nephew's soon to be baby. What was I thinking? LOL!! Soon got tired of that so I decided to make a couple of pillowcases to match the quilt I made for my sister-in-law. The seam ripper needs to come out today. I can't believe that I don't have dark purple in my stash. I made do with something else I had, and it will have to do.

So today I fix up that mistake and continue the hexies. I have a couple of days work lined up this month. Wouldn't you know it, they usually pick a Tuesday. Tuesdays are for Guild and Victoria's Quilts. At least one is for a Friday. Hubby is working an extra couple of shifts this week and next so I should have lots of time to sew. But around here you never know what is going to happen.

So everyone have a great Thursday. One thing that is free today is a Smile and Hug. So here are some for you.

Good mornin all!

Wow, lots of hexies Monique.....maybe you could make them the center and border, border......a thought. It’ll be beautiful and loved no matter what you decide.

Plugging away at some yard work. Wow, what a winter. It sure left a mess and we’re minus a tree! I’m hoping just to finish the front yard today.......we’ll see what this old body says about that. It’s not too happy right now.

Read about Barb’s jaw yesterday. Had that happen to me once. Not at the dentist......I bit off a bite of bacon......ouch. Didn’t eat for days. Ended up with a special retainer that I wear every night now. Acts up once in awhile, but doesn’t lock up.

If the weather gurus are right, we’re to get into the 50’s next week! Soooooo looking forward to it!

Hope everyone has a marvelous day. Love, hugs and prayers for many.

Good morning. Should be a nice day here before we get a rainy day on Friday. I did get some blocks sewn after dinner. I have to take the pug to vet for a bold draw this morn. Then I need to go pick up my new glasses w my new prescription. I will prob get to my sewing room after dinner.
Talking about jaw issues— I could not open my mouth that much soon after I had my twins. I was clenching and grinding so hard. I had a bite guard already but had to go to PT to help loosen up the muscles. Mine was all do to stress.

Have a good day.

Good Morning....It's raining cats & dogs this morning. I need to sneak out to the grocery store for a couple of their specials.

I can talk again today after my jaw drama Tuesday. Hot compresses have made it feel so much better. My DD has TMJ and I'm afraid she got her jaw issues from me. Her son had to wear braces on his teeth for three years to correct his jaw alignment. Everyone really thanks me for passing on that gene!

Where oh were did my sewing mojo go? I thought it was back, but not so. I don't panic when this happens. I know it will return when the time is right.

Please continue to keep Cathy in your prayers for a good report on her tests.

Wishing everyone a good day...

Good Morning, Everyone ~ Not much to report, since I was on here yest. p.m. Still not getting any sewing/quilting done. Got discouraged after having issues with the Tiara. Also I was busy with other things. Today I'm going to cook up a kettle of DH's Anasazi beans. That takes 3 hrs. -- 1 hr. to soak, 2 hrs. to cook.

I woke up 30 min. before the alarm went off. Laid there thinking about what I could donate to the guild. We're supposed to take in our contributions this mo. for our silent auction fund raiser in May when we have our annual tea. I'll probably put together some fabrics from my stash.

Time to get on with my day.

Good morning everyone,

I was awake early again, thinking about yesterday. On Tuesday, I prepared the summary of the genealogy for the two families for my DD, I printed a copy and saved. I started having issues and the Internet was not connecting to my laptop, so I shut down. Yesterday I thought I would log on again, and at least copy the document to. USB. That's when I noticed strange file extensions of 25/3 on my files & folders. I shut down immediately as I recognized it was hacked. Long story (see my comments on Pam's thread on shipping). Short story, there was a random malware infestation like the plague. The geeks squad will try to recover any data or photos. Since that laptop is 9+yrs old, I got a new laptop. It will be loaded with software and any safe files recovered. I will pick up today.

I also went to my DD to file my mom's simple taxes online and again help with household chores. She was working from home. DH & I went to fresh market and picked up some nice salmon which we had with asparagus, basmati rice and white wine. I needed it after the day's news. So today changing password and alerting bank & utilities. Deja vue?

Katrina - rest that wrist. The more you do now, Thre longer it will take to recover.
Joy - I don't watch 'reality' shows, as I feel we are encouraging producers to come out with outrageous challenges, which risk people's lives. There's nothing real in my view, but desperate people hoping to win the prize.
Barb- oh TMJ issues are no fun. I started having issues after having my tonsils out in my 30s. It got so bad that I could not open my jaw more than 2 fingers. I went to a TMJ specialist for infra-red treatments, altered my diet (couldn't eat sandwiches with hard bread) and then PT for about 6 months. I also had to wear a retainer. It's better, but in recent years, my jaw clicks when I eat. Annoying.

It's a new day, and I really don't know what will hit me yet.

I am resting my wrist. I'm sitting most of the day with it on a pillow- elevated. HS fur J is mainly supervising him doing works that I'd already prepared. So, I'm still sitting with it elevated. With the splint they put on ice won't penetrate all of the layers. I go to ortho tomorrow for my follow up appt.

nothing else happening around here. Have a great day.
