View Full Version : Surgery Update

March 16th, 2019, 10:00 AM
Just wanted to let everyone know that my surgery went very well yesterday. The Dr feels like the entire tumor was removed, it had not spread and he only had to take the one lymph node (which is standard procedure). We were back home by dinner time. I was in a little pain during the night, but this morning, other than this danged compression bra, I don't even know I had anything done.

Monique keeps telling me to rest for a couple of days and to "milk it for all it's worth" and believe you me I'm taking her advice. Sitting here with my coffee, waiting for my soft boiled eggs to be served by my private nurse, who strangely looks exactly like my DH. Both lunch and dinner are arriving via our son and a friend.....life is good right about now!!!!

Thanks you everyone, for all the kind thoughts, prayers and cards. I am so blessed to have so many great friends on this forum.....you're the greatest!!!!!

So glad to read of your surgery success, no pain is fantastic. I hope the lab results are fast and that there are clear margins.
Take all the pampering you can get, it probably won't last very long.

Glad to hear all is well and that you are receiving some good pampering. Enjoy it while it lasts. Take it easy though and take your time getting back into things. Even the sewing can be done in small spurts.

I woke up this morning thinking of you (yes I slept late) so was delighted to see your post and the good news. You remain in my prayers for a quick healing, but adding to the prayers that you receive so much pampering that you get tired of it, you deserve that much and more.

I had a benign lipoma excised several years ago. I had to buy a sports bra for the occasion. It definitely helps. I agree -- don't do too much too soon. Glad things are ok.

So pleased to hear all is going well. Your private nurse sounds like the bees knees (as we say in the UK).

Good to hear all went well. You may need to give your "nurse" a bonus.
