MIL is ready to go to be with the lord but she is so afraid. I am asking for your prayers to give her strength and peace. She is in so much pain. She did ask that her eldest daughter come see her soon, the plan was for her to come home later next week but is on her way home now.

I, too, will pray for your MIL and your family. Having just lost my MIL a month ago, I know how much this hurts. My heart goes out to you.

I will pray, but you must go to her and give her permission to leave. It will make it much easier for her to pass. A very difficult thing to do, but if she still has a husband, he should give her permission , if not, her children need to

In 2001 my last visit to my mom in hospice I whispered in her ear that my husbands funeral was done and now I was in a better position to take care of dad so it was okay for her to let go. She was in a coma at the time. On the way home from hospital I got the call, right after I left she passed peacefully my dad said. He wanted to know what I had said to her. He had given her permission to leave but I guess she needed me to let her know I would be there for dad. I do believe in giving permission!

Dear Beth, I have entered my prayer to St. Anthony in my user notes. It helped me thru my difficult time praying to him to save my son. I hope it will help and comfort you.

PS: If anyone else needs this prayer please feel free to go to my user notes.

The hospice nurse the family had for my MIL told us she was "in transition" & for us to tell her it was okay for her to leave us. That we knew what to do because she had taught us well. We also told her that Papa (recently deceased FIL) was waiting for her. She passed later that afternoon. So I agree with those who posted about "giving permission". I believe the person in a coma does hear us.

I am so sad your family is going thru this. I am praying for your family to have peace & your Mother-in-law has a painless passing. God will hold you all in his arms & give you strength.

Prayers for your family and MIL. I pray she can go peacefully.

When my dad passed, my mom had to tell him it was ok to go. I truly believe they hold on for as long as they feel they need to for the sake of their loved ones. Mom told him and within a few minutes he passed. He needed to know she would be alright.
