Good Morning All,

It's Tuesday already! DS#2 is on his way to work. We ran a lot of errands yesterday. I dropped my Sticks and Stones off at a new to me long armer. It should be done in three weeks. It was hard leaving it there on her table. I'll be glad to get it back and on my bed though.

I'm about half way through making key hole blocks. All three of the baby quilts I'm working on are already spoken for. Amazing! Two for church, one for my niece who's only son is 18 and is expecting #2. That's a real age span! Dominic is excited and from what he says, he just wants his mom to be happy. She's lost several babies over the years and he knows how sad it makes her. He's got a good heart.

Not much else going on around here. The last of DH's uncle's passed on Sun. It's kind of a weird situation. Right now, they're not planning any service. From what my MIL said, the siblings are still not getting along. The oldest son is heading back to TX, the youngest is heading to his home and the rest of the family is left scratching our heads. We don't even know where to send donations. My son was all about me flying back to NC and attending what ever service, but now I guess I'm on 'stand by'. I think I'd rather fly to visit my MIL instead, to tell the truth!

Be creative!

Prayers for those in need. Prayers of thanksgiving for all of our many blessings!

Good morning all. Today is quilt group at church. Waiting on landscapers to come today. They dropped off some plants yesterday. Kinda scary since I got a denial notice form the HOA because they can't approve anything in the easement, but I'm moving forward anyway. Hopefully I won't have to dig anything up after spending all this money to put it in.

Finished quilting a top yesterday for Quilts Beyond Borders. I usually do 2-3 each year for them. Finished a full size quilt for church group last week and get to turn it in today. The group ties all of our quilts there, but since I have LA, I prefer to quilt mine at home and get some practice. Working on another now that is random 4 patches and background. Should have nice weather until the weekend (3 weekends in a row of rain). That's it for me. Off to start the day.

The sun is out. Still cold but suppose to be in the 60's. Tomorrow the 70's then back to the 50's for the rest of the week. Spring...jumpng up and down1!!
Yesterday I went into town and got a few groceries. DH had errands to run so we did those. THen we went to Lowes to price countertops. I figured granite was out of the budget and was willing to go with formica. Hummm. Formica was 25-32 per sq ft an granite started at 39. However, they didn't have time to talk t me. Said I needed to make an appointment. Come on...its Lowes. Three people in that department and they said they were expecting clients within 15 minutes so couldn't give me any ideas. They were pretty rude. Did say there was a minimum of 35 sq feet for installation....Hummm....I need 70. I'm sure there are other places that sell countertops.
I might sew today. I'm going to put on a brisket for dinner. Think I'll use the crockpot.
I think the snow probably got the leaves on all my Hosta plants. Kinda sad about that.

Katrina, if this longarmer doesn't work out, I have a friend in Fernandina Beach who does mine.

Good to know! I took it to Palm Tree Long Arm, it's right next door to Cinnamon's Quilt Shop, so I had a double treat. Dropping off and petting the fabric time. Of course, I came home a little lighter in the pocketbook.

Good morning. Spring disappeared & it's cold again. Had to cover up some of my plants last night.

Today I am determined that I will take all my clothes out of the closet & rearrange. I find myself wearing the same ratty clothes so I need to get serious & throw some things out. I also have to get rid of a handful of things I've held onto since I will never be that size again.

Rkyer the puppy went off to a three week board & train yesterday. With DH letting him do whatever he wanted it had gotten out of hand. He was pulling on the leash to were he almost pulled me down. When he jerked my down the steps & wrenched my back I said enough. DH has now realized the error of his ways & is on board with being a better pet parent. I made him confess his sins & show the trainer all the puppy bites on his arms:-) The trainer said she hears the same story from the women who call for help & she thinks of herself as 1/2 marriage counselor & 1/2 dog trainer. I cried when Ryker left but I know it's best for him & us.

Have a great day everyone!

High noon - Howdy! Oh, it's so good to be here again! A friend from church has loaned me a lap top (he had an extra one) until I can get a new one, which is what I decided to do. This way I can browse & compare features & prices on line without having to trek around to the stores & be hassled by sales people. I talked at length with the guys at Computer Specialists yest. for recommendations. They work on everything, so I figured they ought to know which products are the best. He recommended Asus as #1 in reliability and MSI as #2. I never heard of either brand. He said SSD (solid state drive) is better than spinner drives. So now begins the researching of features, products, & price comparisons.

I've sure felt lost without my computer. You don't realize how much you depend on it till you don't have it. I kept busy with other things, did more reading, etc.

We're having a warm day. Currently 77 deg. but it's extremely windy. I had planned to water the lawn today, but I'm not going to do it in this wind. I spent all afternoon yest. dragging around hoses & watering most of the back lawn. I watered the front lawn on Sun. afternoon. The S. side still needs to be watered, but it won't be today.

I've done some piecing with the batiks left over from another project. Also worked in some FMQ as my hands & side allowed.

It will take a while to work through all the posts that I've missed. But I need to begin this computer search. Have a good day.

Welcome back Joy, you've truly been missed. I had an Asus tablet. I loved it and it worked like a champ for over 6 years. I think it finally got tired!

Go for it. I was brutal and showed no mercy on my ratty clothes. Also those size 12-14 I no longer fit into. Now that I am back to my size 10, I'm never going back. I ve lost the weight over two years ago, time to show it off.

I don't know what you will decide upon, but we have an Asus dedicated for all our sewing, embroidery needs. We have not had an issue.
Send some of that warm weather our way. We need it.

I got my repaired laptop back yest. For now, a new computer search is on hold,. Thanks for the feedback on your Asus. I did some browsing, but discovered it is a much more expensive brand, esp. if you want a SSD (solid state drive). I hope my HP lasts quite a while longer. I definitely need to do something about back-up on an external hard drive.
