I wanted to experiment with last week's tutorial so I used stash fabrics to cut out this block. I didn't have an appropriate jelly roll so used yardage. All the blocks [9] will have the same red and blue fabrics but the yellow is from two different pieces.147141
The rocket ships were fussy cut.:D

Some child will be so happy. Or someone like me that loved watching the Jetsons.

I like it better.....it's colorful, and would be a great quilt for a little boy's nursery.....which brings me to another point....WHY are so many new moms choosing GREY /WHITE /PINK ( or BLUE )....and sometimes Yellow ) for their nursery decor? What happened to decorating nurseries with bright colors to stimulate the babies ?

I really like this Claire.....great job !

I found some panwl fabric on a sale table and bought it a while ago. It was bright child-like colors and prints. I cut the squares and found 2 small jelly rolls of bright happy solids and prints. I've made 3 blocks and love how they look. I wasn't crazy about Jennys' choice, but this is turning out so cute. Thanks for the idea on the first posting.
Yours looks so cute too. Thanks for sharing.

That is so encouraging since I am making that one with the flamingo fabric I ordered. I have all the 6 1/2 and 12 1/2 blocks made , just waiting for the focus of the flamingos and they were shipped yesterday I think. You have made me excited to get at it.

Claire! I really love this idea. I liked that pattern because I recognized a quick quilt. This makes it so cute.

That's so cute with your fabrics! I didn't get a thrill out of the original tutorial with the fabrics used, but now I see another use for some of my stash.
