Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good pattern for a travel toiletries bag? My mom has asked me to make her one for Christmas. She wants one that has several zippered pouches and is large enough to hold travel shampoos and her pill case.

Pinteret has lots of ideas for cosmetic and toiletry bags for travel. Some are free patterns and some paid. Depending on your skill level, I'm sure you can find something. I've made several boxy bags for my GD and her travels. I don't use metal zippers. I like #5 nylon purse zippers for the exterior of the bag and I buy 14" lengths. You can always cut it smaller to fit.

I didn't make my toiletry bag, but I love it. It's the Pack It Flat toiletry bag from ebags (https://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/pack-it-flat-toiletry-kit/54638?productid=10553365). I've had it for years and love the different compartments and pouches. Plus it is flat, so you don't have to dig through your bag to find anything and it's easy to fit into your luggage. It has a hanging hook to hang it in the bathroom where ever you go which makes it easy to use. <br>
I wish someone would make a pattern for it, because I'd buy it and make some for gifts.
