I own a Janome 6260QC sewing machine and looking for the plastic drop in bobbins. I don't have a Janome dealer near me so wondering where you Janome owners purchase your bobbins. I bought universal bobbins from Joanna Fabrics but they don't look like what came with my machine and afraid to use it. Thanks for any info you can provide.

You should be able to do a search on amazon and get the name of the bobbin and get in the description that it fits your machine.

I don't know. I bought some bobbins from Amazon one time and the pkg said fits all Brother machines. I had a Brother. No trouble winding the bobbin but it did not fit my machine and I couldn't get the plate under the needle closed. The bobbin was just a smidgen too high. If the pkg says one size fits all don't count on it. I didn't bother returning them because it was just too much trouble but they didn't cost that much.

Just checked. Amazon sells genuine Janome bobbins.

Brother makes two different sizes of bobbins. No one should be saying "fits all Brother macchines." But Janome makes just one size ... at least for their horizontal drop in bobbins.

Thanks Michele, I saw that too. Said only 1 left at $6.99 and s&h was over that price. I'll check Amazon again tomorrow.

we should probably sell some of those eh'? None of these fit a Jonome - https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse?&q=bobbin&Shop_By=Machine%2BAids&Product_Type=Bobbins&Brand=Dritz

If not, it may be time to go on a buying spree so you don't have to give your money to amazon for anything other than groceries and nerf swords :)

Okay, BillNye - mention that Amazon has nerf swords and my on-going supply will quickly be depleted, You know these quilters because they will all be ordering them now.

It's an ongoing gag with Mom and Dad, what do you get the person who has everything? A foam sword ... every christmas :)

When I needed bobbins for my janome 6600, it took me awhile to find which ones were for my machine. In the manual, they weren't given a "class" number. But here is the product number that I researched online to find, #102261103 SA156.

Amazon does sell the genuine Janome bobbins, 10 empty for 7.95 as a add-on, they also sell Janome bobbins filled with white or black thread 12 for 9.94. For $2.00 more you get 2 more bobbins and they are filled with bobbin thread. After using the thread, you have an empty bobbin to fill as you like. I found that I like the pre-filled bobbins especially for applique and some piecing. They are especially nice for machine embroidery. I have an embroidery machine and buy the 144 bobbin box of pre-filled when I find a deal and therefore, it is rare that I have to buy empty bobbins.
