I had to go to a new surgeon yesterday, the oral surgeon and oncologist I am seeing agreed that my surgery should be done sooner than 8/16,but this new surgeon doesn't think he can do it any sooner either. He filled me in on more of the details of my surgery and it doesn't sound good.I think yesterday was the first time I was actually scared about all of this. This surgeon says they will remove skin and blood vessels from my arm to reconstruct my palate and also bone from my arm to rebuild my jaw,all of this will mean more skin grafts .The Dr said I should be in surgery for about 10 hours,so I am hoping you will continue to pray for me.

I'm so sorry to hear that you will need this extensive surgery, and I know I'm not alone in keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as events unfold. I hope you have people around you who will be able to help you manage on a day to day basis with the many activities we need to do and take for granted.

Doctors can do amazing things, you will see. I am so sorry you will have to go through this please let us know when your surgery date is so we can all send good vibes your way on the day. Does anyone here live near Grafton, Mass who could take food or anything over for her family?

Praying for you - that God give you the strength to get thru this and beat it, and that God makes you more aware than ever of His presence in your life. Truly, you will never be alone in this fight. And you have a wonderful bunch of quilters here who are joining prayers and sending positive thoughts and positive energy to you. God bless you - adding you to my daily prayers.
