I've had a quick look around the usual shops in the UK and I can't see any fabric. I've found some 100% cotton curtains that might be suitable but I'm not sure of the weight of the fabric.

Have a look for yourself: Dr Who Curtains (http://www.very.co.uk/curtains/516780451.prd?aff=google&affsrc=froogle&cm_mmc=fp_google-_-kids_and_nursery_childrens_bedroom_furniture-_-na-_-RQ59316_Doctor_Who_curtains&prdToken=/p/prod100040-sku3259086&browseToken=/q/rq59316)

I have no idea who Dr. Who is but my first thought was we need to get some Bill Nye fabric for our computer guy! Good luck with Dr. Who project! What are you making?

is there a market for nerd fabric? :)

I believe there is a market for this type of fabric, at the store where I work on a casual basis we are often asked for this type of fabric, especially for boys, let's face it there is not a lot of 'boy' fabric out there. Earlier this week I had a lady wanting 'computer' fabric, her grandy is a computer geek, wanted matrix designs and the like, I almost laughed, but simply wished her good luck in her search.

For some of the other commercial trademarked type designs I have referred ladies to buying bed linen with these designs and cutting them up to make quilts, it works reasonably well.

I have ordered some for a quilt from Fabric.com. They are out of some of the patterns(but it is on backorder). They have always been good as far as service goes.

Misread the first post. Senior moment. I saw Dr. Suess instead of Dr. Who. You might look at Equilters.com.

I haven't ever seen any fabric for these shows, maybe we should put a bug in their ear. I have some Wizard of Oz fabric and saw some for I Love Lucy so maybe if they get asked enough then someone will make it.

My DD would love a quilt made from Firefly fabric! When we decided to get a kitten a few months ago we chose the name Jayne for him. Sometimes we wonder what we were thinking when he tears through the house jumping over things but he's funny. This morning he gathered up some of our shoes by the door and made himself a fort and hunkered down in the middle of them.

Spoonflower.com has a Sci-fi section. I found a few shops using a simple Google image search that carry Dr. Who fabric.

I would be the best wife ever if I made my husband a quilt with Dr. Who fabric. Love it!

MY DH loves that show but think I would have to pass on that fabric for $18. a yard. Holy cow! It is super cute though.

spoonflower is a 'design your own fabric' website. I had a go a couple of months ago and whilst expensive the fabric was really good quality. i only got a yard of what i designed and was nice to try, good fun. Many create and post their designs for sale.. buyers can order from spoonflower who take a %. Its amazing what you can find on there.....but the price means (for me) only a special piece for a specimen block would be all i could afford.

Personally, i would be wary of buying Dr Who fabric from there...copyright issues are sure to arise sooner or later. Of course fabric designed by an individual with their own origional images or copyright free images will be fine.

Takes off lawyer's hat and wanders off to cut a few more dresdon blades................

I was thinking the same thing about Spoonflower, that it is a personalized source for your own designs, sort of like a Vanity Press for books! I want to try it sometime.

Oh thanks for the chuckle. Maybe Moffet will bring in the Lorax in one of the anniversary specials.

There is an etsy shop that has some that she created on spoon flower and I think she did a great job! Still very pricey @ $8 for a fat quarter. If you use it as the focus and find coordinates, then maybe it will work?
