I'm looking for a source for 8" lace edge zippers to use in some small bags. Any suggestions? Thank you!

You Girls got me.....I've never heard of a lace-edge zipper. They're so cute and would be wonderful in the right project.

If you have a Michaels store near you or you could check them on-line; I saw them there recently.

Wow - those are really cute! So, you would sew them on top of the opening instead of underneath? Any youtube video's on how to do this and make it look nice?

I'm always learning something new on this forum!

These are exposed zippers: Here's a tut http://fortworthfabricstudio.blogspot.com/2015/05/exposed-lace-zipper-pouch-tutorial.html and another one, but I think the first addresses them better. This one is more for garments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qRzjoTXWQw

eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Michaels all seem to have them. Simply search ... lace edge zippers
eBay seems to have good prices, but that doesn't mean the quality is there. I haven't purchased any.

Got mine at Hobby Lobby but they only had black. But they also have sparklies on the lace.

I found the tutorial at Fort Worth Fabric Studio and ordered a couple to try. There is a Michaels not too far away - I'll check there next time I'm in the area.

This is the bag I want to try:

Marilyn has the purse I made using one of the lace zippers. I got mine at Amazon too.

Thanks for the great photo Karen.....now I have to get some of these zippers and try this on a purse pattern I just found on YouTube.com that I like.( I am going to make this purse for my DD's 39th birthday )
Here's the YouTube.com Tutorial I found that I like :

I am also trying to find a purse "insert" to fit the tote bags that Jenny did a video a few years back. I have made a zipper enclosure for the tote bag, and want to make an "insert " to go with it. So, that's what I am going to try to figure out this week !

If any of you have "Favorite" purse or tote bag tutorials....please share them ! :)

I just KNEW I shouldn't look!! These are just adorable. Now I want to make them today and I'm going to be busy doing some quilting on a quilt that I just took a lot of quilting out and it needs to be redone. I'll just have to wait to make this. Thanks all for sharing.
