It is a bright sunny day today but still cold. And man was it some cold yesterday. Mother Nature must have been in menopause.

I had a fairly quiet day yesterday. Les ended up working days instead of nights. I was in town early as I didn't start work until noon, but I kept myself busy. I spent a couple of hours playing cards with my friend again waiting for Les as he didn't finish until 6. We stopped in at my sister-in-law for a brief visit. Les got a bit of inheritance money. He is going to pay off my credit card for me. It's not much but it will be paid off.

I don't expect to be going anywhere today but you never know. I may take the memory quilt to the community centre to get it sandwiched and then figure out how I am going to quilt it.

Thinking of those in the UK this morning after the terror of what happened yesterday.

Have an awesome day friends.

Good Morning, All ~ Well, no phone call yest., so I guess the car wasn't ready yet. Maybe today. I did get a call from the district attorney's office from the Victim Specialist asking about my injuries, etc. The guy who hit my car will be in court next mo. I don't have to appear, thank goodness. He's pleading guilty to 2 of the 6 charges. She said something about restitution. I don't even have the ER bill yet, so I don't know how much that will be. I've had 3 acupuncture/massage treatments. I'll be paying out of pocket my deductible of $1,000. for the car insurance. I wonder if I could get paid for that. If so, that would help.

No more time now; I need to fix DH's breakfast. He's feeling pretty weak this a.m. He got only about 3 hrs. sleep last night.

Morning Monique and all who follow.

I share your sentiments regarding the terror in London and pray that this violence around the world will stop!

Finally catching up on all the email and other loose end that collected while we were away, and although I thought I wouldn't have time to get into my sewing room yesterday, I managed to complete 2 of Pat Sloan's Solstice blocks in a little bit of down time before dinner. It felt good to be back to normal. Hoping today will allow me to work on a Secret Santa project and finish my middle Granddaughter's quilt in time for her upcoming birthday.
We're having guests for dinner on Saturday so I have to figure out the menu and make sure I have everything on hand. Had many ideas a couple of weeks ago, but I can't remember what I had in mind. Oh well, guess I'll start planning all over again.
Time to get the day started - have a great one everyone.

It seems to me that 'retribution' should include ALL, even the deductible on your insurance.

Good morning. Sounds like everyone is busy. A good busy.
Monique- happy you're doing well and enjoying life.
JCY - I agree with Monique, you should get all, if they offer. Hopefully you'll get a call today.
Peggiep - yup, good busy. Ah dinner, always the question of the day.
I too am praying for all involved with terroists in London. Such a sad state our world is in....and with no end in sight. But the Lord knows. I rest in His wisdom.
Well, winter was yesterday. They're saying 50 today and .....wait for it - 70' for Friday and Saturday! I can only hope they're close. So often they're totally wrong. So looking forward to spring. Flower bulbs are drooping, so I'm thinking they want spring too.
Hope everyone stays safe and have a wonderful, peaceful day!

Morning.....

busy day....DH is having a catheter inserted today for his chemo treatments starting tomorrow and for the next 4 months. My Dad is getting a biopsy done concerning his prostate. Halgal is getting information at her school concerning a call I received yesterday and an email I requested be sent from the school didn't get received into my email box!

So, today I'll be taking a small wall hanging project to hand quilt while DH is getting his outpatient surgery done; I hope I can hold it together today!

Morning Everyone...I had to have the Girls at the groomer at 6 am in the next town south of us. After dropping them off I went to WalMart and bought a few items. Seriously, it was just a few items that came to $101....how does that happen! I have to pick the Girls up at noon and I want to vacuum and catch up the dog laundry before then.

Sherri, my prayers will be with you and your DH today. Normally putting in a port is a quick procedure. (((HUGS))) to you as you wait.

Joy, did your insurance company ask you to write a Victim Impact Statement for the court to read? Restitution isn't limited to monetary loss, it can include pain and suffering and emotional trauma also. The expense of your deductible and mileage to and from treatments/doctors should be included. I would also mention that you are a senior and the sole caregiver for your husband.
I will help you pray about this.

I need to get busy and accomplish a few things this morning. Take care everyone and have a good day.

The terrorist attack in London was so sad. Prayers and healing wishes for the victims and their families.

Almost time to head to the restaurant. It's starting to feel like a job! Joy, good luck on restitution. If he doesn't have insurance, where will he get money to pay? Just asking.
So worried about all your DH health problems. I am so blessed. We only have mild allergies and deteriorating muscles and energy levels. Can't complain about getting old.
Raked leaves yesterday in one of the hosts areas but the wind was so cold. Finished quilitng two this days off. DH is getting close to finishing my new room. Made shelves yesterday and worked on trim and sewing table. He's almost as ADHD as I am. I washed the windows in new room. They haven't been washed in 20 years. (Room is above garage, formerly used as woodworking shop).
Off to work

Ah, washing windows. Not something I can do by myself, & DH no longer can help with that. The last time my windows were done was maybe 3 yrs. ago when both sons were here & did them for me. (I don't know how to get the windows taken apart.) The bsmt. windows & window wells were cleaned last Sept. when DS visited. He's coming for a week-end visit in May. Maybe between the 2 of us we can get the main windows cleaned again. When he comes, he cleans under & behind the frig. & cleans out the dryer vent pipe & does other little odd jobs. I wish we had family who live close by, but they're all in other states.

Good morning, oops almost afternoon,

Been a busy week for me, trying to get some yard work done, plus everything else, but number one is to make sure my DH has everything he needs. Thank goodness my arm is better so I am able to start mowing and doing the yard work again. I should go mow today but I am choosing not to do so (tired from all I've been doing this week). I am hoping to have some time today to escape into my sewing room.
The home health nurse has been over, and physical therapist comes today. Lots of doctors in the next week.

I've had some handymen over this week to give me bids on some things that need to be done, especially grab bars in my hubby's bathroom.
