Me: Have a good time!

Daughter-in-love: Call us if you need anything. *leaves*

Son *sticks head back in the house*: Hey, Mom?

Me: Yes, honey?

Son: Don't call us. Seriously. Do not call.

All-righty, then! :D:icon_wave::D

They really did; four kids from 9 months to 6 years. I don't even know whether they've ever left the kids for two whole days before. Such sweet children, although the baby was really missing her mama. Happily, my DD and DH were there to help out; we call my DH the "Baby Whisperer" as he can get any infant to calm down.

And as it turned out, DS and DIL called us a couple of times to see how it was going. I just had to laugh at the "do not call" request from my son; I know he was afraid my DIL would want to turn around and come home early. When they walked into church today, those little ones surely were glad to see them! And so was DD, who I hope will get lots of sleep tonight! She gets the Auntie of the Year award for sure.

So happy you got to watch them. I know of many grandmas that live far enough away that they don't see them often, much less for a couple of days. It does both the parents and the kids so much good. Enjoy while you can - they grow up soooooo fast!
