Jack crapped out on me in the middle of a seam. Hopefully MM can get him going again.

Re: .....tis a sad day!
It happened this past summer when I took it to my friends to make some pillows. Had something to do with the bobbin winder. He fixed it then and I have not used the bobbin winder since....I use a sidewinder instead. Hoping that's all it is.pat.

Oh no, just when the desire to quilt happens, I feel so bad for you. My automatic bobbin winder doesn't seem to work this week either. Need to get it fixed. DH says he could fix, but I'm not so sure and will be taking the machine to the LQS within the next week or so.Hope your machine is a quick fix and that you will be sewing again soon.

Re: .....tis a sad day!
I did not buy the extended warranty on Jack since he is mechanical and MM is very mechanically inclined. When this happened before, he was jumping at the bit to open him up and I had to leave the room during surgery!pat.

Re: .....tis a sad day!
ah these mechanically inclined DH's. Mine is a wizard but I hate having him fix anything. He is so Anal about it and it usually involves me leaving the room to get stuff he needs. lol Good luck with Jack. Hope its nothing seriously Big.success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiam

Re: .....tis a sad day!
Ah-oh...hope Jack "feels better" soon. My longarm had a "stroke" I think! The electronics or something crapped out! Hubby shipped it to California today...totally pissed off because it cost $400 to ship it. Since it is still under warranty they said it had to be shipped to them. That won't happen again! There is a quilt shop locally that I feel the man there could have fixed it if the company would have talked to him on the phone and then shipped him the parts. He said they wouldn't even tell him anything...only that they would have to see it to diagnose it. Needless to say, I would hate to the be on the receiving end of an email that my husband intends to send to them after it is fixed.LIVE well, LAUGH often, LOVE much
Hugs, Pat
