Yes, the last chemo treatment! He does not know the kids are coming down for the bell ringing....I think I am more excited about this than he is!

The nurses did not wait long to start eating their smoked salmon and cheese! One is from the Ukraine and she absolutely loves it! They all said it is much better than the chocolate everyone else has been bringing them.

Yay! Glad to hear that portion of the battle is coming to an end. MM has been a trooper through it (or at least your telling of it makes him out that way) Glad it is over and hopefully the next step won't be so bad.

So happy!!! I had made arrangements with Heather and Tiffany (our girls) and Tyler (oldest grandboy that we raised who is like our son) to be there when chemo ended. They all got there right on time and MM was so surprised!!! I was a little worried he would not like the attention it would bring, but to me, it was a special occasion! He was very happy to see them and asked why they were there. I told him they came down for the ringing of the bell.

Most people may not know, but when you finish your chemo, there is usually a bell, like a ships bell, hanging somewhere for you to ring as you leave after your last treatment. When you ring it, all the other patients clap and cheer and congratulate you and so do the nurses. It is very moving.

After that, we all went to lunch and then MM and I went back to get another side of salmon which will be smoking soon! Hopefully this will still be around for Christmas Eve!

All your prayers and good thoughts helped us get thru this and I know they will continue to get us thru radiation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
