about this new job? I vividly recall you retiring what, three years ago? Now I see you have another job? What's this all about?! I don't think I would ever work after retiring but then I'm also alone and my kid will be on his own so who knows?!

Anyway...just being a nosey beak! Hope all is well with you and lawn mowing has been going well! ;-)

She's probably been hired to mow all the neighbors' yards!! Sounds like Myrna!!

No Sandy, I've not hired out to mow lawns...it's all I can do to keep my own grass cut! LOL!

Wendy, I'm working for a company that owns 5 apartment complexes (sound familiar Barb Oaker?) with 700 total units, 4 in Louisville KY and 1 here in my hometown. I'm the new part-time accounts payable person. It's all web-based so I can work from home, hopefully only 3 days a week. It's taken awhile to get almost everything set up and there's still a glitch or two to work out, but I entered my first invoices into Quick Books today while sitting at my kitchen table. I won't be paying the bills (YAY!) but I'll do the record-keeping to get them ready to pay and post them to the correct accounts (I hope) in the company's files. Learning what goes in which account may be the biggest challenge. They have oodles of accounts!

Yes, I retired 3 years ago. At that time my husband was doing some work for one of the company owners who lives here most of the time and DH told him I might be interested if they ever needed a part-time person. It only took 3 years to get the call and I told them I'd give it a try. This week I've learned how to make SKYPE video calls and figured out that I'm going to have to finally get a smart phone. I'm enjoying the process so far. If this doesn't work out, I can always retire again! ;)

That sounds like a perfect PT job. I'm glad you found it. I have retired more than once, too. I would do it again if the right job came along. Good luck with yours!

Well that sounds perfect! I would LOVE to grab a job like that! Enjoy and hope it all works out! The extra $$'s will help buy more fabric! And if it doesn't work out...well there's always lawn mowing! LOL! xox
