Perhaps I am being unreasonable, but all I asked of him was that he hang the Christmas lights.

December 3rd, 2011, 03:26 PM
ROFLOL!! He did what you asked...he hung 'em! Maybe you need to get more specific with him!

December 3rd, 2011, 03:26 PM
Hahahaha! Too funny! He did what you asked, right? Are all men so literal? We know they are big teasers!!!

Is your DH and mine brothers? This is just what he would do and then look at me as if I were the nut. Too funny.

December 3rd, 2011, 04:01 PM
I know what he is thinking. When you turn them on at night, it will look like a star shining!

December 3rd, 2011, 04:05 PM
ROFLMAO...Al's related to Don for sure! Or your handyman!

He just wanted to cut back on the time it takes to take them down in January!

December 3rd, 2011, 05:05 PM
Left side of brain vs right side....happens every time!!!! LOL!

December 3rd, 2011, 05:53 PM
Hahaha!!! That is hillarious!!!

December 3rd, 2011, 05:59 PM
I am so not showing my DH this....so not!

December 3rd, 2011, 06:18 PM
OH my goodness, this is just too funny!

December 3rd, 2011, 06:22 PM
Ha ha ha! Too funny! :D

December 3rd, 2011, 06:46 PM
I think he did a great job!

December 3rd, 2011, 08:53 PM
It takes a woman to get the job done right. No divorce attorney yet, but next time he asks you something pull the same thing on him.

Sandy, it was really funny though.

December 3rd, 2011, 09:09 PM
It has a subtle simplicity. I like it.

December 3rd, 2011, 09:16 PM
It's perfect Sandy!! I'd leave it just as it is...your house will DEFINITELY get noticed!

December 3rd, 2011, 09:30 PM
OMG Sandy, I'm in stitches laughing so hard!!!

December 3rd, 2011, 09:33 PM
Too funny. Laughing my a$$ off. Just showed my DH. He thought you DH did a great job.

December 3rd, 2011, 10:20 PM
That's a riot, Sandy!

Waht a hoot. Your DH is fantastic, at least he hung the light. My DH is an electrician by trade and refuses to hang the lights. Boy< was I glad when the twins were old enough to help me. Now they know that's their job. Have to get that taken care of next weekend when I get home for Christmas.

Well, we got the lights out. He found 2 strands out of 4 that worked. Then he left for a few hours to go help his Aunt. I found lots more lights, pulled all the decorations out. He got home and grumbled - "I hate doing the lights". Hehe. Looks like he'll check them tomorrow. He puts them up on the porch and up by the road on the rail fence. I also have them throughout the house. It's so pretty when it's all done. Of course, it seems that when I pull the decorations out, snow ends up in the forecast. Sure enough, they are calling for a little bit in the middle of the week.

When I get home from my Dad's tomorrow night, I know he'll have the lights up and on for me.

Is the attorney for a divorce or for your murder defense?

December 4th, 2011, 03:32 AM
My bf LOVES Christmas and has to decorate!! I like the lights but don't need ALL the decorating. I don't mind some Christmas music, but 24/7...NO WAY!!! Luckily we live in an apartment and he doesn't mind doing the majority of the decorating himself. He also cooks and cleans, does HIS laundry, and takes out the trash!

Oh my gosh---almost spit out my coffee all over the computer when I saw this!!! This is hilarious!!!!! This looks like something my huband would do.

CONFESSION TIME: In case you haven't figured out - that's not MY house . . . someone sent this picture to me and I just had to claim it and share. Al and I do not light up the outside of our home except with the flood lights that are activated with motion detectors . . .

December 4th, 2011, 12:09 PM
It doesn't matter Sandy...we got a good laugh from it! Everything I decorate with is pre-lit...I'm not into stringing lights and DH couldn't care less.

December 4th, 2011, 06:04 PM
I like his sense of humor. He's a kookie as you are, sandy!

December 4th, 2011, 08:24 PM
This looks exactly like something my teenager would pull! Anything to be done quickly and very literal. Thanks for the chuckle!

December 4th, 2011, 08:32 PM
Now that is really funny!

December 4th, 2011, 08:32 PM
Nena, your comment made me laugh too.

December 4th, 2011, 08:32 PM
Pam, he's a keeper this one.

December 4th, 2011, 09:49 PM

Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.

I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.

I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.

All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.

Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!

I took the time to hang the lights for you today and now I will be off to the golf course.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.

I'll be home later.

Love you……
