I thought this was so interesting. I love textiles and history! A dress and a heavily embroidered purse were found intact, buried in a chest under the ocean floor for centuries, along with other treasures.

Thanks for sharing! It's amazing that the dress was intact,I wonder how it was stored so it didn't crumble.

It was buried in a chest under the sand of the ocean floor in a shipwreck! I don't quite understand how that preserved it, though...I thought sea water destroyed things but perhaps there was very little oxygen down there, which helped? I really don't know...
