Don't know how many of you are familiar with his music, but we listened to a lot of Larnelle Harris when our kids were little. Here's how DD used one of his great hits in class today:

*plaintive voice* "Miss M., I don' like funderstorms." :icon_sniff:

*cue singing Larnelle Harris' "Child, It's Only Thunder"*

*face brightens*

::2 min. later:: "Miss M., I not afwaid of da funder anymore!!" :icon_happy:

::10 min. later:: *storm starts back up*

*creeps to my side* "Miss M., do you fink you can sing me dat song again?"

Of course, she obliged.

So cute! My granddaughter used to call clouds "funders". She freaked out every time the sky got cloudy with dark clouds. Even without the noise!

'Singing in the Rain' takes me back to Cub Scout Day Camp... cha che, cha cha, cha, che, cha cha cha cha! I think we sang that with knees together, and all the motions at least 5 times a day.

What a cute story! I love Larnelle Harris but I've never heard that song before. Love him singing More Than Wonderful with Sandi Patti!!!
