My dad went last week for an x-ray because he fell off a stool and wanted to make sure nothing was broken. Long story short there were some "suspicious" spots on his spine unrelated to the fall. Doctor says it could be nothing because x-rays are not always definitive but he has a bone scan today to clarify what is going on. Please say a prayer for him.

Results came back confirming a problem. My dad will need to see oncologist to find out what course of action will be taken. His family doctor seems to think the prognosis is good but admitted he is no expert in this area. Thanks to you all for your prayers. It means a lot.

My dad's appt. with oncologist was set for Tuesday the 19th but my sister called and asked if there was any way he could get in earlier as he was so anxious. He has seen this doctor before so he knows what a worrier my dad is. The doctor moved his appt. to 4:00 this afternoon. At least we may have a better idea of what we are dealing with. My dad is 92 and I know he isn't going to live forever but this was so out of the blue that it is still kind of a shock. Two weeks ago he was climbing ladders and trimming trees!

Doctor says the prognosis is good. One more test to go but even if there is concern there, treatment would be minimal and easy with many choices. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.
