I would like to make an angel food cake and the recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of egg whites (10-12 eggs).

I wouldn't want to waste the yolks so what could I use them for with out the whites?

Preferably a baking recipe...not to keen on yolk only scrambled eggs. :icon_heh:

well...i can get rid of fourteen of them! I like to make martha stewarts yeast-raised pancakes, calling for 3 yolks...

or lemon curd, calling for 6...

and lemon pie, using 5 more!

Angie is definitely making me hungry . . . and that lemon curd with the angel food cake Julie is making would be absolutely perfect in my book!

How about a frittata? Scrambled eggs?

I am not a cook by any means, but don't they use these in pound cake?

The pound cake recipes I've seen use the whole eggs..

Make noodles. flour, a bit of salt and work the egg yolks into the flour to make dough. roll it out as thin as you can and cut into desired width.

I think you could find a custard recipe that uses yolks.

I'm pretty sure my mom used hers for noodles when she made angel food cake from scratch. They always seemed to show up about the same time when I was a kid.
