Good morning everyone. A wee bit of snow on the ground this morning but we are expecting crazy weather in the next day or so. Something coming from Colorado. Rain/freezing rain/snow mixture kind of thing. I hope we don't get too much snow. Mother Nature can just take a flying leap into neverland.

A very quiet day at work yesterday and I spend my lunchtime napping. I had brought an old vintage quilt I bought at an auction sale years ago with me. It really needs repairs BUT I brought the wrong bag with the pieces. GEE WHIZ!! Thankfully I had brought a ball of yarn for dishcloths so made three of those.

Have a great day friends.

Morning Monique and Everyone,

It's going to be a slow day if I have anything to say about it.

I experimented with the Tangled Geese block yesterday and decided it's too much snowballing for my liking. I'm glad I experimented with it before I cut all my fabric into strips.

Our weather is cold and windy. No more snow since the weekend. Today I begin feeding our neigbors' 4 cats. Normally they never come out when strangers are in the house except when I'm there. I guess they figured out I'm harmless.

Wishing everyone a great Wednesday with hugs and prayers for those who need them.

128093Middle of the Week Wednesday is here, let's make the most of it.

Have 3 bags of scraps, strips, squares, orphan blocks and UFO's that I'm going to drop off at my Guild's stash room. I used to like to use those bits and pieces to make new quilts but most of the items have been hanging around for years so it's time to go. Our group that makes the giving quilts will turn them into quilts and I can begin saving a whole new bunch of scraps.

Good morning folks!

Hello from Massena, NY!
Today is my last day in North Country NY, I've been here a week visiting my daughter and grandkids! Oh, and Grandma Nan and RiverMomm last week! We have had fun visiting Lake Placid, riding the gondola to the top of Whiteface Mountain,

tasting maple sugar syrup straight from the tree, bowling, shopping, and other fun things to celebrate my grandson's 12th birthday. I'm going to miss them so much when I go back home.

The snow was predicted but it is a minor snowfall, so I guess it won't hamper my getting home. I fly in and out of Syracuse, so my drive down there shouldn't be too treacherous later today.

Hope to get back in the swing of forum land once I don't have a grandkids grabbing my iPad to play dueling Minecraft with the sibling! Love them dearly, but they are in love with their video games!

Today has been kind of inside out and backwards... my kids were picked up for a playdate and returned home, seven hours later, exhausted, filthy and have apparently only eaten chocolate and apple juice all day. The world of inter-national playdates is something I still haven't gotten used to, my kids LOVE it, but gosh, it was awfully quiet and dull without them.

I spent several hours working on work stuff, so not a particularly fun day, but productive. I'm thinking that once the kids are fed and in bed that I will turn on a Jane Austen film and quilt away....

Morning all,
Relatively quiet on my home front. Looks like the sun is trying to peek through the clouds.

Haven't been in the sewing room this week, seems I lost my momentum and have to find it again.

Getting to the grocery store is on my to do list today. Need to pick up a few more things for Easter luncheon. Friday will make the salads and some sort of dessert. Looking to keep it simple so I may make up a batch of canoli filling and buy some canoli shells and fill them. Grandkids are older now so we don't do the egg hunts anymore so they'll get their cards with something money. They're all driving now so gas money is appreciated. I also have special Easter cookies for them as sweets are also high on their gift list!
Off to get a cup of coffee and write out my shopping list. Hugs to all who could use some extra today.

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday. Not heading to work today. Very congested and a bit of headache today so I am going to do the smart thing and rest . Nothing pressing needs to be taken care of at work and since I am flying next week, I want to see if I can keep this from getting too bad. Tomorrow and Friday will be busy getting everything all set for being out for a week. I also need to pick out some warmer weather clothes for our trip to GA. So maybe I'll do a little of that today or maybe just spend time in my sewing room. Sewing room time is rest time for me. :)

Have a good day all. {{{{{Hugs}}}}} to those who need them.

Snowing like crazy here! It started during the night & quickly has been accumulating. Schools are closed, as is my Wed. Bible Study Fellowship. It looks like 4-5" on the picnic table thus far. It's a wet heavy snow that is plastered on everything. There are blizzard warnings for east Denver & the eastern Plains. My gr. son's parents are due to fly into Denver today from Dallas. That could be a dicey situation. They'll be renting a car & driving in winter weather conditions they are not used to. Praying they have a safe trip.

I'm between sewing projects. Today will be a good day to sew. Yesterday I took advantage of the 70's temps. & cut back some of the clematis & cleaned out the front flower bed. Now if only all the rest of the flower beds looked so good. The older I get the harder is to keep up with the yard work. We've had a lawn service for the past 3 yrs. for spring & fall clean-ups & reg. mowing, but they don't pull weeds. I would need to hire a gardener for that, which I'm not will to do...yet.

Good wacky Wednesday Morning...... ..☺

I went through my bundle of baby fabric yesterday, separating projects, and making a list of what I need to get them made and ready before little Reese gets here. I'm so far behind. Hopefully, with a plan and some pain free days, I can whip all these little gifts together. .........list starts like this.......COFFEE, CHOCOLATE, MORE COFFEE, MORE CHOCOLATE , ....lol😊
......well....It's a start.....of the the necessaties.
Time....will help too.

Dr. day for me. Hope he can find a magic fix to this, getting older disorder......you can get a face lift, but I need a new body, a revitalization procedure.......lol. The arthritis issue's and meds aren't working well for me........So I decided, I'm going to ask for a deferral to a specialist........
I think I need to see a...... Pet Vet...😶....They can do more to treat a dog......than Drs can do for people.......... So, I want to make a POINT if nothing else. 🌝. .......
Hope you all have a grate day. Sending..... Hugs, Prayers, and Blessings.♡♡♡

Yesterday was a slug day. I did stuff, but slowly and without much enthusiasm.

Today was our early day, and Miss Priss is NOT an early bird. She did make it to her appointment, and did pretty good on her testing. She made it to school earlier than normal too.

I have some goat kids to disbud for a Lady this morning, so I'll hold off on my shower until that task is done. I will start the wood stove earlier today, as Hubby didn't make a fire last night and the house is not only chilly, but getting that damp feeling with the rain moving in.
Once all of that is done, I really must finish up the sewing projects for school. (Apparently my enthusiasm isn't as driving as it should be.) New class session, some new students, new attitude! Right??? Oh let's hope so!

I must be off to get the equipment set up. Make it a good one!
Hugs, Cathy

Good morning friends;
Today is a troubling day. Just returned from the vet, my little dog Penny has one eye that the pupil has gone completely red. They are keeping her for the day and running tests. Apparently the red eye is a symptom of some other malady and that is why they have to run the tests. We have four dogs total so three are here with me but I feel her absence in the house and I miss her.

Oh Crafty, I can relate to you about the dog. I have recently moved from a house into an apartment, and my 2 dogs have stayed with my son at the house because they are used to the yard. well, I have a Basset and a Shih-Tzu. The ST is, and always has been, a diva dog, lol. She decides every one in a while she is not going to eat - has done this since she was a puppy, and she is now 6 years old. Well they called me the other day and said she hadn't eaten in 4 days and was doing her potty all over the house. SHE NEVER HAS AN ACCIDENT IN THE HOUSE. So I told them to bring her to the apartment and she could stay with me, and I made an appointment with the vet for today. Other than being confused with being in a new place, she has actually been good. I take her out every 4 hours or so, and she does her potty, and 1 time pooped. She is drinking water, but still not eating. Today she just would not give the vet a urine sample, so they did blood work, and I have to wait until tomorrow for the results of that. Her physical exam was fine today, no temp, etc. She has lost weight, but again she is not eating, and as I said she has done this before. She has lost a little weight. So I am praying that the blood work doesn't show anything bad. They did say it could be something like a UTI, so keeping my fingers crossed. Will keep my other fingers crossed for your Penny. :icon_wave:

I"ll say a prayer for your Shih-Tzu. I hope there is nothing wrong. I picked Penny up - the vet said she has high blood pressure (as a result of her kidney disease.) The rest of her tests will be back tomorrow too.
