Welllll, is everybody cooking???? It's gonna be mighty quiet for Joe and me since the Brits don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I'll be thinking about all of you stuffing your faces with all that delicious Thanksgiving food. I can smell the turkey and the pumpkin pie right now! Have fun and a very Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of my quilting buddies!

Rebecca, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Joe as well!
The folks are visiting from Holland and they don't want Turkey! My job has been to find a restaurant with a regular menu...not easy...everyone seems to have only a "Full Thanksgiving Feast". Looks like it will be Japanese for us tomorrow...missing out on Pumpkin Cheesecake. :/
Have a scone on us.sigpic

Re: Thanksgiving!
I too will be having a quiet day painting the spare bedroom. DH is away hunting in NY so it's just DS, Cory, and myself. I did buy a turkey breast to throw in the oven while I'm painting and a pumpkin pie. The pumpkin pie is really the only requirement my son asks for.
Wishing the best for all my quilty friends. Safe travels and bask in the warm of loving friends, family and good food. Enjoy!;)Nancy
I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!! This is one of my favorite holidays. I have 4 out of the 5 kids at home and we will be cooking all day. I did alot of preparation today and of course that dreaded cleaning. Tomorrow is mainly turkey cooking and just hanging with the family. Have fun and be safe everyone!!I am such a material girl!!!!!:icon_wave: Nena

Re: Thanksgiving!
I will be going to my sisters tomorrow. She and her husband are always so kind to host the dinners at every holiday. I will be bringing the pumpkin pie. I made one tonight and will make the other tomorrow morning. I live by myself, so it is so much fun having family time together.
Happy thanksgiving everyone!!!:icon_hiya: Coleen

Re: Thanksgiving!
I wonder if anyone delivers. That'd be the icing on the cake. You could sew for hours and hours, answer the door, eat a delicious turkey dinner and keep on sewin'. Sounds ideal to me.Originally posted by Lady T View PostIt will be a quiet one here as well. Hubby has to work so it will be just me & my sewing machine.Goodbye Europe! Hello California! Re: Thanksgiving!
Can't you get someone to save you a piece? We've eaten out on a number of Thanksgivings. We used to go with friends on a little Thanksgiving vacation and so we'd be eating out for the big day. Kathy and I would always order the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and everyone else would order something different. To me, it's not Thanksgiving without the traditional meal.Originally posted by HandsOffItsMine View PostRebecca, Happy Thanksgiving to you and Joe as well!

Re: Thanksgiving!
Well I see you're actually getting the bedroom painted. Are you going to make the deadline and surprise your husband with your handy work? I'm with your son. You can take everything away from me except the pumpkin pie (Hmmm - I don't know - maybe not the stuffing and gravy or the cranberries. Haha)
