View Full Version : NCW clasp question

For those of you who have made these, which type of clasp do you prefer - the screw type, or the prong type? I was looking at the website today and I'm not sure which would be best. Thanks for your advice!

The screw type appear neater on the backside and are very secure.

Thank you, Jean!

I have used the prong type in every NCW I have made except 1 and had no issues with them. The backside of mine don't show as they are enclosed in fabric and none of them have ever broken.

I like the ones where the oval ring is screwed in. I don't trust the prongs for that part. I also glue it as well.

I have made several and use the prong type. They seem to hold secure and I am not the easiest person on my wallet.

Where do you buy them?

I order mine from Emmaline (great Canadian exchange rate, plus if you buy 10, you get a discount), or Hancocks and Joanns carries a version as well. They are both nice, but the ones from Emmaline are really nice.
