My (step) granddaughter Izzy loves to make things. And the more detailed the better. In preparing for my recent visit, she made this beautiful surprise for me. It now has an honored place in my sewing room.

This is a sculpture of my teaching her how to quilt. I am sorry the picture is a bit out of focus. I am the white cat, and she is the brown cat. Notice the detail of the sewing machine with the spool of thread on the top. Also, she has my foot (er paw) on the pedal. In the right front are extra quilt blocks.

I don't think Izzy knows about sampler quilts, but that is obviously what we are making, as each block in the quilt has a different design.
