The latest of the Kindergarten tales, from my 27-year-old daughter, who is their teacher:

*magazine article about woolly mammoths*

"...So, class, mammoths are extinct."

"What's 'eck-stink?'"

"Extinct means that all of them died, so there aren't any left. Mammoths lived on earth a very, very long time ago."

"WOW, Miss M., that's from like when YOU were a child!!"
