I was just informed a minute ago that a coworker was struck by a car crossing the road to come into work. No word on her condition, but apparently she was hurt pretty badly. She has already been taken in the ambulance but the road is closed for investigation.

Oh Donna, that is horrible. I know exactly what she is going through. Happened to me back in 1996. Prayers that she is not in critical condition and that she has a speed recovery.

While I feel sorry for your friend and wish her well, having been a driver who hit a pedestrian (83 year old woman on my way to work on a dark rainy night), I also feel for the driver because I know what they are going thru.

Thank you all. When I left work this morning there was still no word on her condition. I checked the local news just now and don't see anything so hoping that is a good thing. I spoke to someone else I know that witnessed the whole thing. He said she was drug/thrown at least 50 ft from the point of impact, but that she was talking to paramedics and able to tell them her name - just not what happened. She lost her Mom just three weeks ago.
