Watching Project Runway. It was all I could think about as I sat sewing the ugliest pajamas on the planet today....ask Doloris, she will vouch for me! This pair is flannel, the even uglier pair is cotton. Orange is the new green and this pair and the next have lots of orange...especially the next one!

Somehow I got roped into going to a school conference today. It was very entertaining to sit there with Alex. I will say conferences these days are a lot different than they were when my kids were in school! I think that Alex was giving me the stink eye when I mentioned that I don't feel she reads nearly enough. I asked her and she told me she reads 20 minutes today, which is what she is asked to do. The teacher and I both felt that she should read at least 30 minutes a day, she tried to negotiate for 25 and I countered with 35, so she agreed to 30!! Then the teacher got her to agree to do one of her school programs, which she can do on her iPad, prior to playing games. It is actually something she agrees doing, so there was no negotiating on this!

At dinner, I dropped my fork and I bent down to get it...did I mention we have one of the high tables and chairs? Well, I lost my balance and whacked my forearm on the table, heard a crack and felt pain and numbness almost immediately. The pain is gone now, unless I touch it! Several years ago, this is almost the exact way I got a hairline fracture on my other arm, which I did not even realize until someone pointed out the Popeye arm the next afternoon. Yep, 2" fracture straight down from my elbow. Hoping this is not a repeat as it's right in the middle of the bone. We will see how it is come morning.

I think I have enough goods made for the bazaar next weekend. I still want to make some bowl cozies and elf slippers, but those are both quick and I can do it once these pajamas are done.

Of course, I'm always up at this time. I am headed to bed soon though. Just been playing online and letting an old Bette Davis/Paul Hendreid movie play. "Now Voyager".

We had our house appraised today so it's nice and clean and everything in it's place, and so I'm enjoying that. Now, off to get a Greek "Whipped" yogurt and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day... Hey, maybe tomorrow I will watch "Gone With the Wind"...

Nite all!!

I've been awake for a couple of hours now.. drifted off in my recliner again (after supper). I have some old photos I wanted to get into the scrap book (digital) so I went looking for a "kit". yup I found one and they have a "forum". I joined and spent a lot of time looking around and introducing myself. OK, so I have other hobbies that I spend time on.. But I sew everyday.

I finished up the blocks for the Jacobs Ladder and will be ironing and squaring them up tomorrow. DEEP Cleaned the front room today now that DD#2 is back to work. She had the pre treatment appointments today for radiology. They will start on Nov. 7th. Everyday for 21 days.

We are doing very well for all the cancer treatments and surgery.. Off to catch up on the happening here in the "forest" before finding my nest.. will have to kick a little dog out of my spot first.

Sorry, I am an early bad and not a night owl but with the time difference between US and EU I might still be in your time zone. I was up at 06:00 local time, did some ironing in my patchwork room, did some stowing away and cleaning up of the cutting area (to make room for the next creative attack) , did a patched fabric collage to individualise my coffe-to-go mug, and thought about the options with my Xmas logcanin project while listening to the local radio station.
A good start for the day ;o)

A late little hoot...actually slept some. Feeling better from the fall cold/allergies.

It was another gorgeous day here. Day 3 of the reno progressed nicely...floor joists and subflooring down and two walls up. they are taking a break until next week.

I finished up the green tomato chow chow I started yesterday. 17 pints. Took much longer than I thought. Also ran over to a local warehouse sale to purchase sheets for DD and ordered the laptop. Also got sheets in mail. (these are really nice sheets; they do the sales twice a year. I have used them as quilt backs.)

Longingly gazed at the sewing room as I got jar tops...maybe, just maybe a little sewing tomorrow or Saturday.

There is a lot of serious illness in our little church...members in their seventies experiencing life threatening issues. Scary it is all happening at once. One with colon cancer, one had part of pancreas and all of spleen removed, one with aplastic anemia, and one headed into his last days with a multitude of problems. We only have an active membership of 50-60 and many are older. Prayer requested for these faithful members.

Have a Good Friday!

Hoo's up at 4am again.....that would be me!!!!

Girls day out with my DDIL yesterday was soooo much fun. G-Street Fabrics was quite an experiencet....didn't buy much, but had a lot of fun seeing everything. The prices are not great, but if someone is in need of a particular hard to find fabric...this is your place. After DDIL and I left there, we went to the Container Store - now talk about a fun time....just walking around looking at all the little boxes, baskets, and organizational "stuff" makes you feel more organized. Bought a lot of little things I really needed (not).

After all that shopping we were a tad hungry. I was treating and let DDIL pick the place. We did Baja Fresh - food was good, but can I just say it's a good thing I had my weekly weigh in at WW that morning BEFORE blowing more than my daily points and a bunch of my weekly ones as well.....was it worth it - yeah-pretty much!!!!

Getting ready to send my quilt off to M* for quilting. This is my first one, so I don't know what to expect, but from what I read here I won't be disappointed.
Next up - back to working on my microwave potato bags. I'm makig them for Chirstmas gifts this year - so need about 30 of them.....I've done about 10 so far and have the rest of the fronts cut out. Need to cut the lining and batting, hopefully today, then the sewing will fly by. I love to sew assembly line!!!

Have a good day everyone

It's turning 4am and I have been up since 1. ugg. Pat did you think something was off about the ending of Runway? Usually Tim comes in to say goodbye to the person voted off. I think he got saved. You think?

My dd is coming over with the baby this morning so I need to clean up and hide things I'm making!

I missed the forest last night. I turned in early for me. I'd just like to say that occasionally I'd gladly donate my woman bits to someone who wants to use them. I'm done with them, and they aren't always happy about that.

Today I have a few things to get done for Emily's school. We are turning the staff room garbage can into a monster and hanging a banner. So it's paper instead of fabric today!
I did get the last fabric to finish three aprons and the fleece for my brothers couch pillows. Four Christmas gifts there!

I'm still working on cleaning the Singer treadle. Quilt Board has an excellent vintage sewing machine section with a ton of practical advice in cleaning, restoring, and refinishing (if it is that bad). The results are pretty impressive.
Have a good one!

It is barely bruised today and not swollen at all. Doesn't really hurt unless it gets bumped, so I think it's fine....thanks!

Yes, that is exactly what I think happened too! I liked him, but he made bad choices last night with that dress!

I've been only popping into the forum briefly lately! I'm missing you all though! I have finished two midterms and I'm caught up on assignments, just one more midterm to go. I'm really enjoying being a schoolgirl, but missing my crafty time a lot.
