Are you singing that old song after reading the title! Was that the Mamas and the Papas that sang that?

The weekend is over and a new week starting. Our usual thread starter members are busy, So I got it going today!

Making plans to fly to NY on Saturday to escort my 2 grandchildren to their new home. This move is a challenge for the family because three large energetic dogs also are making the move. I'm taking moving the kids out of the equation, so we'll meet the parents who are driving up once we all get there! Our wonderful forum friend RiverMomm, aka Vicky, is going to meet me and help me get on an airplane to get home! I just love this forum for the wonderful friends I've met!

Big week preparing for a play, then trip to NY, then another play the first of November! I need to get back to my quilts and NCWs!

Have a great day!

I am looking forward to seeing the beautiful leaves of New England, that is one area of the country where I have never visited.

Morning Everyone.

Jeff is off today for the holiday so I'm not sure what our day will bring. We are in the midst of a beautiful Fall. The color in our area is really nice this year.

Jean, you're a perpetual motion machine lately. Wishing you a safe and fun trip to NY. Glad you will get to meet Vicky.

Wishing everyone a fantastic day.

Oh darn it Jean. I have a dr. appointment so I can't join in the welcome party. You will be in good hands with RiverMomm and Monique if she can meet you. When you are in Montreal, you are about 2 hours from me and 2 hours from Monique (but in different directions). Wish I could come and meet up but I have been waiting over 18 months to see this doctor so I know there is no chance for a reschedule.
You will do just fine and hope the move goes smoothly.

I can't wait to meet our special forum lady, Jean! I will be picking her up in NY a week from Tuesday and then taking her to the airport Wednesday morning. She won't get to see much of the Montreal area, but hopefully the leaves will be peak for the drive.

Monique and Nan (and other folks living near Massena/Cornwall), Jean will HAVE to come back again to visit her family soon. If we can't all get together this time, next time we are going to have to do some sort of retreat, shopping, visit, vacation thing! Let's start planning! I want to visit Ottawa again one day. Maybe the next visit, Jean can add some days and we can all meet up in Ottawa and do the tourist thing (and shop for fabric too!). I think the govt buildings are really beautiful and completely different from anything in the States.

Coming soon in our future: Forum Retreat 2016-Canadian version. You think we could get MSQC to open a retreat/store up here for us?!?

Good Monday Morning!

Getting ready to fill a bunch of bobbins and start on Chuck's tiger quilt. It's been a slow start with lots of going to other rooms wondering what I'm going for. DH has left for the morning to help a friend with some electrical. I think he was almost afraid to leave me alone in the house. I'll finish my coffee while watching the bobbin winder, and on a safari I will go.

Good morning all:)

Jean have a safe and fun trip. I know it will be bittersweet seeing your grandkids move so far away. But you will get to meet new forum friends!

Did NOT want to get up and go to work today. Yesterday, I sewed all afternoon into the evening with my sister. Well I sewed, she decided what she wanted to embroider on the burpees. We got a lot accomplished and she's coming back on Wednesday to finish up. She's making (well I'm making) a lot of things for two babies coming soon.

Have a wonderful day:)

Good morning! Jean, have a safe trip to NY with the grands. I started quilting about 2 hours ago and I'm taking a break now. I've got DH's aunt's birthday quilt almost half quilted. Quilting a 94" long quilt with a 4" high pantograph takes a while and having back problems doesn't help matters, but so far, so good. I need to have it totally done by the 23rd as that's the day of the birthday party at the nursing home where she now lives.

I'm headed for sit-n-sew and guild meeting later today. Our lesson this month is on how to make a quillow...should be interesting. Have a great day everyone. Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian members!

Good Morning! I enjoyed a wonderful Saturday with my Mom and daughter at MSQC. My daughter had a great time with the Sizzix demos - made some cute things. My mom liked the machine so well that she actually bought me one for Christmas and gave it to me early. She thought that I might enjoy making some Christmas presents with it (hint, hint). We picked out fabric for some center pieces and placemats for me to make for some of her friends. The center pieces are done and so are some coasters. I will work on the placemats today.

Jean, have a safe trip. And a great time meeting forum members.

Nan, praying for your doctor visit.

Have a great Monday everyone :)

Sounds like a fun trip even tho the reason is sad. But look at the vacations you can have!!

Not much happening today around here. Just cleaning messes and making more with fixin' meals. Making new recipes sure is messy.. twice as many pots, pans and dishes dirtied. But is was all good eatin'.

Hope everyone has a fun day and accomplishes all you have planned. Hugs.
