Jack is so little. His family can't leave their house. If he gets a cold, he could die. They don't need money, they need a donor. Could it be you?

His mommy is my DD#2's best friend. They are such a great family - would you save this little boy's life if you could?

DD's story:
I used to exchange crazy stories every weekend with his mom. Now isolation is her everyday, every moment, every second. Do you have 30 seconds and some saliva? You can help.

This is my friend Madeline Yankee's beautiful baby boy Jack. Jack has been diagnosed with a very rare auto immune disorder and is one of only 30 known cases in the entire world to have this condition. What this means is, Jack can not get sick (even a common cold) - if he does, his precious body may turn on him. Jack has been living in isolation because of this and his only hope for a cure, a future, and a normal, long life is a bone marrow transplant. The problem is, Jack has no match in the international bone marrow registry. He doesn't need a match next year or next month, he needs a match NOW. The situation has become dire and urgent. This is where all of YOU come in. PLEASE register to be a donor at https://join.bethematch.org/teamjack. It's incredibly simple and free. When you take the two minutes to register online, you will be sent a small packet in the mail where you will just swab the inside of your cheek! That's IT!!! Then, IF you are a match, you will be contacted to see if you are an acceptable donor. Donating could be done by an outpatient procedure or even just donating blood! It's a much simpler and non-invasive procedure than people realize. PLEASE register, PLEASE spread the word, and PLEASE share. What if this was your little baby? What if you could be the one to cure Jack and give him the long life this sweet little baby boy deserves? Thank you all. ‪#‎TeamJack‬ (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/teamjack?source=feed_text&story_id=1114648725229199) ‪#‎WeLoveJack‬ (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/welovejack?source=feed_text&story_id=1114648725229199)

Megan this is wonderful information. They used to charge potential donors $75 to do the test. I have been on the donor registry for quite a while, but I know for sure my DD will do this as she was interested in being tested for a family friend diagnosed with leukemia recently. Sadly, our friend passed away very quickly and his son got the call two weeks later that a match had been found.

What a precious little boy - I pray that a match is found and found soon! I just can't imagine what his parents are going through.

Megan, I have been on the national registry for years. I was declined due to age!!
Wishing your DD friend all the best!

Such a darling little guy to have this much of a burden in life. I was on the bone marrow registry for decades. However, you must be 55 or younger to continue on the registry....

That leaves out a whole lot of us on this forum ...

I hope they can find someone that is a match.

This is timely for me. My grown daughter was just talking to me a few days ago about getting on the registry for bone marrow donation. I will pass this info on to her and I am sure she will send for the kit and register. Since I am just over the 55 years old rule, it sadly leaves me out, but I will pray daily that this sweet boy receives the precious gift of life he so desperately needs and deserves.

What an angelic looking child!. I truly hope someone is able to donate. Unforutnately, due to my age, I'm off the list as well. But, I can say Prayers for Jack and his family.

I am over the age limit, also, but I will certainly pray for him.

I read the FAQ's and if I understand correctly, the cutoff age is really 60. I am unable to even donate blood because of an illness I have had in my past and I'm sure it would pertain to this as well, but I will check with my doctor. Hopefully this cutie will get the help he needs.

I think the cutoff age is 60, too, but most doctors aren't interested in anyone over 45 from what I understand. I did speak to my daughter about it and she is going to register.

Would love to help, but due to age and my own autoimmune disorder, I am also not a candidate. Prayers that a donor is found quickly.

I'm on the French National registry. That means I suppose that I'm on the internationnal one as well. Sorry not to be a match for him!

Thanks for reading and please share, as some of you said you would. Prayers are also most welcome! Thank you again.

I did try to register. Unfortunately, if you are between 45 - 60 (which I am), you must pay $100 to register (just can't do that right now...). I do hope a match is found soon - praying that God will send the right donor for this little one.

UPDATE - PLEASE PRAY HARD TODAY FOR JACK. No match was found, but his father was a 70% match and since time is of the essence, they are doing a bone marrow transplant today. Dear God, please let them both be safe and healthy.
