Can't even see outside of my tree for the heavy rain. Crazy lightning and severe thunder. Am about to join the dogs under the bed. I can forecast little sleep tonight...I think it is supposed to be at it for awhile. Ugh.

I have a journey to make tomorrow. May be a surprise at the end of it. Will let you know.

Requesting prayers for my DS...he has some major life decisions to make. He suffers from depression and that makes it very difficult to create the changes he may need to choose. Hoping he will be led in right direction and will be able to make the positive steps for the future. Thanks.

Hoping the weather is behaving where you are.

The night owls are out early tonight. We had a storm late this afternoon,my dh kept telling me it was not going to rain and in minutes it was pouring. The weatherman said that the only rain was over Grafton,Ma,imagine out of the whole state it chose my forest to pour in.Connie I hope your son will be able to make the decisions he needs to.I know from experience depression can really stop you in your tracks sometimes.

Hello, night owls! I am home in front of the fans watching Food TV while DH is sleeping in the air conditioned Hampton Inn. I did my sleeping there in the afternoon. In other words, the a/c is still broken here at home. It is supposed to get a new coil installed tomorrow morning, so we may be able to move back home. The cats seem happy to have me here, but they have since gone downstairs to sleep where its cooler...lolol Enjoyed the cool indoor pool this evening before heading home. It was the only way I would exercise in this heat and humidity. I think the heat index was 108 degrees today. :P Prayers for all the sick...

Hope everything goes well for you all. And the storm ends soon .Glad my tree house has a/c or I'd melt ! Been canning and freezing vegies and had to build shelves for storage . Hope to finish today and get the kitchen in some order. Haven't been able to quilt for several days/nights and I think I'm getting withdrawal symptoms ! Hope everyone has a great night and day .

Our rain for the day was very brief. It rained just enough to turn on the wipers as I took dh to work. I could see just to the south of town that it was downpouring but it never made it this way. We did have lightening and thunder while I was taking him to work this afternoon and when I picked him up. I was able to get back to the sewing machine tonight.
Hope everyone can sleep well and be rested in the morning :)

Good morning everybody! Rain here too. And kind of low temps. I had to use an additional blanket last night. It's supposed to get hot tomorrow or Thursday again. I want the sun to come back but I can live without the heat.

Connie, sending good vibes over for your DS to be able to make the right decisions. Depression is a severe illness and not easy to deal with.

I would be very grateful if you ladies could keep your fingers crossed for my son too. He applied for a scholarship to get him through graduate school and has an interview/assessment center in a couple hours. The scholarship would grant him 500 Euros each month for the whole time of grad school (two years here). Although education itself is really cheap here (costs next to nothing) he's going to move out and live on his own. The schools offering the kind of specialization he wants are further away from home and the money would really help with the normal costs of life and books so he'd be able to focus on studying and wouldn't have to work so much (we wouldn't be able to pay for everything he needs).

Thanks and have a good night and a wonderful day tomorrow! See you later!

Coming close to the end of another long volunteer night here. It's amazing to me how much money is played in a small casino like this each day - over $300,000 daily! Our group will get a percentage of the pooled earnings for the quarter for our city and it will be somewhere around $75-80,000 for us. This money funds our club for almost 2 years. We are very grateful but it is still mind boggling!

I slept most of today away after I finally fell asleep this morning. I hope I can get some sewing time in tomorrow! Sending good thoughts to all needing them!!

Busy Day.
Our house is back to it's normal level of occupants!
The kittens arrived and think they will stay, although the house seemed like a better option if you asked them.
A call from the farm sitter down the road. She has issues and couldn't manage the chores this morning. A quick run over and figured out which animals were where and what they got to eat. I went back over this evening to make sure they had hay and more fresh water. The farmer cut her trip short and came home to things from sliding even farther off the rails. I tried to convince her to stick to her original travel plans, and I'd just check in on them twice a day for a couple of more days. That was a big, fat, NO.

I even managed to clean the two kid pens in the main barn. It smells much better in there now.

Well, I'm drowsing off while typing and the last 13 degrees should be almost there on the milk.

Happy Hooting!
Hugs, Cathy

Storms finally settled down and I got a little sleep. More headed this way, thinking of canceling my trip. I tHink The Lord has shook his sheets quite enough lately.

Everything seems too complicated lately. Can't even manage to do anything fun. We'll see.

Positive thoughts for all. Hope your son does well in his interview, Andrea! Have a good Tuesday all.

I can't sleep, thank goodness I work 12-6 tomorrow. It's nice to have a place to come to late at night. We don't get much rain here in NM, and the ground gobbles up what little we do get. Connie, I feel you on the complicated front, the last 8 months have been a roller coaster ride for me and my family. Right when I think things could not get worse..BAM! So I have turned to quilting to put a smile on face. My mom always said the Lord would not give you more then you can handle! Sometimes I think he's testing me to see how much I can handle.....Hopefully someone is getting some zzzz's
