Happy Wednesday, Folksies!

Of all the days of the week, Wednesday may be one of my most favorite days. No particular reason, but I do like Wednesdays for some reason. Generally speaking, it is a laid back day for me - as long as there are no dr. appts, or other errands that make me have to get dressed and leave the house.

This morning I intend to go out back and collect some tender shoots from a few shrubs and get them ready for propagation. I have a lovely deutzia that really shines in early summer/late spring. I want more of it, so, propagating will be tried. Also some forsythia, lilac, mock orange, tulip tree, red twig, hydrangeas, - well, you get the picture. I love propagating. Most of what I do are super easy. I only grow what doesn't require a lot of care in the garden or houseplant dept. If I can grow it, chances are it is idiot proof. First test it must pass is propagation. The only tricky thing for shrubs is collecting the shoots are the proper time of year. Which by all indicators would be right now. So, gloves, nippers, shallow pail, paper towelling and bug spray ready, I am going to be outside before the sun gets any higher. As I have mentioned, the sun/heat and I do not gee haw very well together.

That's about it for today. Oh, Tyler's mother was in court yesterday but it turned out to be a preliminary hearing. Good grief. She goes back to court in September. That's about all I know as until it is actually a trial, it is closed. I despise myself for being so dang nosy. And you can throw in that I don't like feeling vindictive. Or almost joyful at the thought of her going down. She really is a pitiful creature, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need to be punished.

Off to find the oomph to get me cracking on the day. Prayers for those dear ones here who need them. Blessings and smiles for all.

Good Morning everyone. I got an early start again this morning and just taking a break to check in here this morning. Good luck getting those cuttings Blondie. I love being in the garden early in the morning. In fact, I will be heading outside to check "the crops" in a few minutes. Something is eating on my parsley badly so I need to figure out what to do about that. Not sure if it's aphids or maybe slugs (yuck).

T-storms heading our way today I hear so hopefully they won't be too bad. Be safe everyone in the path of those nasty storms.
Have a great day everyone.

Ginny - hope it isn't a skunk! Dad put out a large groundhog cage to catch those buggers and instead captured a momma skunk AND 2 babies! Thankfully a neighbor somehow helped them get out of the cage and go along their merry way. A few years ago Dad captured a skunk and called the skunk guy. After he charged $50., Dad didn't want to go that route again.

Today I have to figure out what in tarnation happened to all the photos I downloaded from my phone onto the thumbdrive thru the computer. Most of them are not on there. I am not happy. Even lots of ones I downloaded a year ago, my folders are empty. I truly mean, I am NOT HAPPY about this.

Plus, my ongoing paperwork project/filing/sorting will be finished by Friday. I must give myself a deadline and it will get done. So not much quilting going on here right now. I do enjoy getting my kicks though from all your wonderful photos you all post.

I'd be out there with you Blondie if I were your neighbor. Working in the flowers/weeds/etc. is my kind of thing.

Morning Everyone,

It's more rain for us today and the rest of the week. Today it's supposed to be heavy all day. Jeff is working a double shift today and tomorrow so I'll have lots of time to sew if it doesn't storm. I'm running the cleaning cycle on the oven and washing a load of clothes. I need to make a trip to Cuba today but think I will wait and see what the day brings us weatherwise. Some parts of Missouri are having horrific flooding.

I'm working on two Halloween table toppers. I got it sewn into two halves and decided I would like it more as a topper, or topper and runner, than as a quilt. Some friends are moving into a new (to them) home in September and one of these and a candle would make a cute housewarming gift.

Wishing everyone a safe day with hugs all around.....

Morning all!! Hope all are having a good day!
Just made cup of tea #2, loaded DW with last nights snacking items. Started wash.
Yesterday was day # 1 of living room redo! Got ceiling moulding cleaned and almost completed frog taping in prep for painting ceilings! Will finish up today, take down curtain rods and spakel the walls in prep for painting. (I hate painting ceilings!! )
Hopefully will have time for a few errands later today, but if not will get it done in am.
I think this will probably be my last DYI painting project, unless I can get up the energy to do 2 bedrooms and bath upstairs. But this will finish all of the rooms on the lower level. I'm getting too old for this mess!
But when all is done down here, hardwoods will go in living room and my life should be a lot easier! ( looking for that light at the end of the tunnel)
DH is less confused this morning. Last two days have been wild! He kept insisting someone died and we had to go to their funeral and the house was full of company going with us! He's either having weird dreams, or this is an omen of things to come! UGH!
Take care all! HUGS all around!

Morning Blondie and All! :D

Rest of the week is delegated to stuff other than sewing. Funny how your attitude changes once you start quilting, everything besides that becomes "stuff". Translation: I really don't want to be bothered, would prefer just to sew! LOL! Cloudy and overcast here, looks like we'll be in line for a bit of rain. Off for coffee, then hit the bricks. Hugs and Blessings to all! :D

Good morning all. I've started my 2nd cuppa, and it isn't helping the latest episode in the year from h*ll. I had some problems with one eye over the weekend, went to the Dr. Monday to find out I may have macular degeneration. I have an appointment with the retina specialist tomorrow. I have been afraid of this since my Dad had it. I'm sure there are lots of new treatments going on, so I'm praying one of them will work for me. I don't know what else can happen this year, but I am yelling "Uncle"!

I know it's almost noon already but good morning....I have been having a great time with the grand kids for the past few days, they are visiting from FL. Yesterday they went white water rafting, today they are hiking in the Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park then going to go swimming in the river, they leave tomorrow after lunch so things will calm down again til the end of the month when my SIL comes for a visit. Tonight we will go out to dinner for a last night together celebration.

Hello! It is early afternoon here... A nice summer day, my big agenda item is renewing my library card!!

I had this vision of sipping coffee on the patio while checking in here in the mornings this summer, but it seems I'm lazy and sleep in until almost 9 then need to hit the ground running!

Tomorrow night is our overnight train trip to New York, my daughter and I are super excited!

A late hello. I leave before Blondie posts in the morning. Not much happening around these parts. Work work work. A week and half to go and Bonnie and I are gone on our road trip. Looking forward to that.

Les' birthday on the 12th. Planning a bbq with just a few close friends on Saturday.

Have a great evening everyone.
