These are some from my front yard - the rains have wrecked havoc on some of them.

I know what you mean Sandy. My rose bushes all bloomed, after I waited like an expectant mother, and before I could get a picture, the storms came. Ugh.

Love peonies. Same thing happens with the lilacs too. They bloom and it rains and they are gone.

Pretty! Mind look like shredded tissue paper ones. The roses, too. Finally got the yard mowed today. I believe today was the only day this month without rain!

Those are nice!!! I used to have one until we did the addition. It's history now! Growing up, my dad had gorgeous gardens, to include peonies and I always remember the ants like them. I don't know why I remember that, but I do.

The Wisteria is making a huge mess in the garden out back. The wind is sending their blooms all over. I'm going to need to get out there and clean up. I wish the flowers lasted longer.

110438110439110440 These are mine, probably will all be gone tomorrow, it is very windy here on the coast in Blackpool. These peonies (actually their offshoots) have travelled with me whenever I have moved house, the original root I can trace back to my Grandma's house in 1938 and she also uprooted hers when she moved so no idea how old they really are. Yes, I know the paving slabs need a good wash but I prefer to sew :icon_rolleyes: :icon_wave:
Noticed the attachments also added my zipper pouch, not sure how to get rid of photo from this post, never mind saves me doing a separate post. :0

I love peonies - my parents had them lining their driveway and I always enjoyed them.

SOOOO love them!!! Thanks for sharing! Have you tried using tomato cages on your peonies? Really helped mine to stay upright well. Not so pretty initially but they get hidden pretty quick.

I do think about that but it only comes to mind when I see their massive heads lying on the ground. Then I smack myself and wonder why I didn't remember when they started sprouting.

One of my plants came from my grandfather's garden. I had two but one didn't survive the winter - it was weak.
