That is how old my city is this year!

The king and queen will come to our city this summer to attend some celebration events.

We who live in the US think a building that is two hundred years old is pretty ancient. It is just hard to imagine that in all other parts of the world people respect and preserve their past.
Definitely something skewed in our thinking and values. Happy for you, Swedish Leo, that you live where you can enjoy these values. Sad for me..:(

Happy birthday to your city! Beautiful castle. We lived in Germany for a couple years back in the 70s and I loved going to see all the old castles and buildings.

Fantastic.

When I visited Europe I was struck by how things just had such gravitas from being so very old. History is very present. Then we visited Pompeii and that was really old...lol It blew my mind! :D
