Embellishments- is there a rule?

I am making this romper for my daughter, I want to put a patch on the leg, should it go on her left or her right? Does it matter? I feel like there is a rule here, but I'm not sure...

I think it depends on if your right brained or left brained.

It feels "right" to me to put it on the side you did...I imagined it on the other side and that felt "wrong" to me...perhaps it is more common practice? Just my feeling about it...although I never heard it as a rule in home ec class!

I don't think there is a rule... I mean, I would simply put it wherever I'd prefer to!

I am not subtle when it comes to embellishment. Less is more does not apply........slap it on and add some more!

I don't know of a guideline for location. Put it where it looks good.

If it were a button placket for a men's shiirt vs a women's shirt, there would be a rule!

I looked at her clothes, all shirt and pants with emblems on the side have them on the left, so I'll attach it there!

I'm pretty sure there are no rules...but don't really know. Just wanted to say the outfit is adorable!

Thanks Wendy! I was going to finish it tonight but went to bed early.... Well, am going to bed early! It's 10:30 and I'm turning out the lights. That's unusual for me!
