Ok time for the big guns....get some tin cans out and join them with string. Fill them with rocks or marbles and place them very precariously so that if the cat goes near them they will crash. Cats HATE loud noises. If it scares her it may be enough to keep her away. Good luck!!

What are you trying to keep her off?
You might also try double stick tape. They HATE that sticky feeling on their feet. Hopefully she won't sit on it though.

Or you can buy the cakes too. They come in little plastic cages you can hang. We put them in our place at the lake to keep the critters out!

I'm told that double sided tape annoys the h*ll out of them.

On the other hand you are very lucky to have someone to hold your fabric down for you!

"foiled" again! Not sure they still sell this, there used to be a can spray system that has a motion sensor, if she crossed it it'll beep and then spray a puff of condensed air. It's called a scat can.
If they still sell it it would be worth a try and you wouldn't have to drive! My cats stayed off the counter this way years ago!

Be careful of the moth balls, they are toxic and you have a puppy!

Dogs have owners, cats have staff. Hope you figure out something Lori. I never could stop my cats from going & doing what they wanted to...

I can't remember the name of it, but there is a mat that you can lay down and when it is stepped on it makes a loud noise. I don't even know if they still make it. I guess you don't have a door to your sewing room that you can close.

ETA: these are a little pricey, but if it works..
